I have recently bought a small netbook 10 inch(like my cock haha) but really only use it for when i go to thai, as i have my other big laptop for everday use. my question is should i leave the battery fully flat unill i use it again which is every 3 or 4 months or should i keep it charged all the time????

Any info would be great.

Cheers

With the new lithium type batteries I believe it is best to leave them 50% charged if you are storing them for a few months. It is not good to leave them fully charged or fully discharged as there is a 'memory' effect with these batteries. Also not good to leave the power plugged in all the time. The electrons need to keep moving in the battery. Hope this helps.

Miniature cells are used to power devices such as hearing aids and wristwatches; larger batteries provide standby power for telephone exchanges or computer data centers.

Lithium Ion batteries are best stored at about 50% charge in a cool environment. AFAIK heat will degrade them much quicker than them being in the wrong state of charge.
