"Most drug smugglers arrested at Suvarnabhumi airport are from Iran, says the Narcotics Suppression Bureau (NSB). Iranian nationals travelling to Bangkok appear at the top of drug police watch lists as potential trafficking risks."

'course I am just assuming that dues to the strict drug laws in Thailand these folks are spending the rest of their lives in country.

Not suprised. They have been caught at other SE Asian ports as well.

They are mates with the Nigerians too.

On that, I have a friend who works in law enforcement and attached to an embassy in Bkk.

The BIB are starting to really crack down on the Nigerians; and the males are mainly Nigerians, the females are mainly from East Africa - Kenya, etc.

They are here on student visa but dont seem to do a hell of a lot of study.

Anyway, a dedicated police unit has been set up to rid these guys (similar thing happening in KL as well) even carrying out surveillance and bugging their aprtments and phones. It will be interesting to see over the next few months if it has an impact.

China is next on the Nigerians list.
