How To Make "Look Chuup" Without Gelatin?

Hi, I understand that gelatin is used for the jelly-like transparent coating of the Thai fruity dessert called Look Chuup. Any idea what else can be used to replace gelatin in making that coating, and if gelatin is usually used for making Look Chuup? Thanks...

Look out for a product called 'AGAR' Its made from seaweed so its good for any vegetarians over there.

Gelatin is rendered from cows and pigs. Slow cook half dozen pigs trotters and see how much 'jelly' comes out.
