High end fake watches

Recommended Posts

Really interesting thread. I have a Lolex I bought in china, works perfectly after a year cept the gold plate is wearing off from the bracelet.Cost me about 800 bahts. I bought a really flashy Lolex here but it stopped after a couple of weeks. Same thing with a Panerai. I suspect that the heat here dries out the oil in them and maybe they could just be cleaned and fixed.

Right now I`m looking for a really flashy Rolex `Diamonds` and stuff, and for an IWC, the big pilot watch, which should be easy on my lousy eyesight.

In favor of non-fakes, about 30 years ago I bought myself a real Breitling Navitimer, It cost at the time about the same as 200 euros. The modern version from Brietling is in the 5000 euro range I believe, , which makes it probably one of the best investments I ever made in all my life.

There`s a street in Macau across form the casino has shops selling really flashy Rolexs, real one, diamonds sapphires rubies, the works. Next door is a shop selling the same thing but second-hand. Presumably a guy goes in the casino, has a big win comes out and treats himself to a flashy watch. Next night he goes back in, loses everything and has to peddle the watch to cover his hotel bill!

As to fakes going thru customs, well, not sure the rest of the world but in France there are huge signs all over the airports whining about copies. They don1t seem to be in favor of them,

I was 30 years in rag trade. Fakes? In europe a polo shirt is really worth around 15 euros retail, the real ones use a slighty better cotton, they are worth about 20 euros retail. So who is really ripping you off, the guy who sells you a fake for 15 or the guy who sells you a real one for 65?

I think the BiB payed Mr Jack a visit last thursday, as he only sold Seiko. But hopefully this is only a temporary thing!

That would be sad news. I am interested in the Tag Heuer Carrera 17 and am coming to Pattaya in two weeks. Should Jacks not be selling them anymore can anyone give advice of where else to get them for 3,000 Baht or less?

I will check up on Mr Jack shortly but I'm down with food-poisoning/cold-water-shock/dog-bite now. In the meantime try Mr. Wong and Sarah's.

Hi Guys,

I went to Jacks today, the shutters were down, closed for business. I don't know if this is temporary there is no note on the door. I thought he may have shut down for Songkran, but that has finished now so I thought he would have re opened. It could of course be that he is on holiday.

Bought two planet ocean 007 quantom of solace, black, limited edition

copies from Jacks beginning of April. Paid 2,000 bhat each.

I declared them with customs in the U.S. as "gift watches" -- $60 each.

U.S. Customs could care less. Didn't care about the 8 "gift handbags"

I brought back either.

I'd say, unless your country is very strict, declare them but don't use

the words, replica, or the brand name such as Omega.

And by the way, U.S. Customs had zero interest in looking at my laptop or

my camera either -- of course possibly since I'm such a handsome man -- lol.

Addresses don't always work in Thailand especially with taxi's!

Have a look back through the thread, someone posted locations with pictures from pattaya photo guide.

Maybe take a BG to help you find it.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Yes true i suppose, i have just read through all the post & found the one you were reffering to and actuall re wrote it down as a text to myself.

It looks like jacks, sarah,mr wong are all pretty close to eachother and are the places to go for a fake watch, judging by the posts in this thread around 2000-3000 baht is the expected price for a good watch.

Sarahs and Mr Wong are close to each other (and not very easy to find, imho). Jacks is at the other end of Soi Bukahoa and easier to find. Doesn't seem to be much room for negotiation either but I think the prices are pretty good for what you get. I really like my Planet Ocean and am probably going to get an 8k version and just sell this one.

Any update on Jacks store? I want to see him when I get back in late June so I hope he didn't really close.

He is back open, he must have just closed for Songkran, so all is good, went past there yesterday.

I may be guilty of being called a "cheap charlie " by some, but honestly after years of buying reasonably expensive watches, I have recently been just as happy with those 190-200 baht copy watches that you can but at street side stalls. I have about 3 different ones at the moment which I swap around for variety and they all work well and have never given me any trouble apart from replacement batteries when needed.

i bought this watch from jack's a couple months ago, paid 3000, it looks good and feels good, still keeps good time, runs on a battery unlike the real one which is automatic. only complaint is he said it was waterproof, i wore it in the pool today and later the inside was filled up with condensation. hopefully its ok when it dries, wont be doing that again. i like the other one i bought from him better, its an automatic and keeps pretty good time. i think i will stick to the replica websites in the future though

This is a picture of a Rolex Submariner rep. It's one of the best value for money reps. Automatic asian 21j movement, rotating bezel, good cyclops, crown on crystal at 6...

This watch sells for about 3000-3500 baht. You're being ripped off if you pay more or if you get lower quality for the same price.

I didn't buy it in Thailand but I know it's sold at Nah Piek in MBK (Bangkok) and Jack or Sarah must be able to source it.

Ok guys i am really into watches and have done some research on here as to where to buy. I have found jacks mr wongs and sarahs, pre bargaining prices seem to start about 2,200 for a omega planet ocean , a rather nice panerai, rolex ect jacks say that they have citizen movements in theres , sarahs says hers are Taiwanese mr wong ime not sure about. the question is this I asked for a1 copys and jack only had a brietling in and said that it was 8,000 baht but had an eta movement in it . Maybe eta or a chinese copy of an eta movement . All the chronographs are quartz in the 2000 baht range but if you go up the scale you get working chrono with an automatic movement.Jacks say they can order A1 copys in for any watch only takes 2 days or so , I guess sarah and mr wong can do the same . has anybody bought a high end copy I mean we are talking the best part of £200 quid here . I own a real omega seamaster gmt but dont really want to be wearing it every day a top quality copy would be great for everyday use . So has anybody bought an high end copy and do they think it worth it or shoud i just stay in the 2000 baht range and save myself some money . All advice experiances welcome

why not wear your omega seamaster everyday it,s a very tough watch scratch proff it,s why they are expensive. i have one i use it for my working watch, you can,t hurt it.

Iv'e spent hundreds of dollars over the last 20 years on fake watches and I now have a drawer full of fakes that no longer work, most have lasted 6 months and then fell apart or stopped.

I then decided to buy a genuine Tag Heuer "Steve McQueen" Monaco on ebay for $1500 with the original books and box,it was a $5000 watch when it was new.

So now I've got the genuine Tag I've always wanted and if I wanted to I could sell it and get my $1500 back or more.

Because fakes don't have any resale value consider the real thing it could be a better investment.

My friend wanted a replica Omega Seamaster so I picked one up for him on my last trip. Jack had a couple in stock which were ~2000 baht (silver bezel w/ orange numbers, orange bezel w/ black numbers, etc..) and also mentioned he could order the higher quality one and it would be 8000 baht. My friend wanted a nice replica which looked real so I opted for the 8000 baht watch. The difference was very noticeable and well worth the extra money IMO. The glass was higher quality, the movement was smoother (automatic), and the watch was just more spot on with the real deal. He's had the watch for a few months and it still works just like the day he got it. Unless you are very familiar with the Seamaster and have the watch up close in your hands you won't be able to tell it's a fake. I own a couple real watches (TAG, Rolex, etc..) and I was impressed with Jack's higher end replica's :)

I agree i own a genuine rolex turnograph i,ve had it ten years i could sell it for what i paid, as now anew one is more than double that i get it serviced every 3 or 4 years it comes back like new. would you buy a fake car?
