Qatar Air

brutale

Recommended Posts

Well, I had to move away from Paradise (Hawaii) for work and find myself on the east coast of the US (Washington DC to be exact). Looking at the airlines, and how long the trip is from here, it appears that it is basically the same distance flying west to LOS or east to LOS. I've been seeing some decent deals on Qatar air, connecting in Doha. Has anyone flown on Qatar? What do you think??

Thanks

I've used them a few times from UK to LOS via Doha and found them to be very good. All of their fleet is fairly new so very comfortable flights.

Glyn.

Currently at home until after the Wet Season. See you again in Sept.

Update - couldn't wait until Sept, booked for early July.

Tried them once im May Bangkok-Doha-Frankfurt. Found it to be a very nice experience. New planes, friendly staff and overall service better than i expected. Can only be recommended.

Everyone has the right to my opinion

I can give you some advice in about a week. Flying out of DC on their route.

i concur with all of the above positives. flew from pattaya to doha to london. professional and courteous. they have been my first choice for a while now.

I always fly Qatar if im going east. Lots of legroom and movies on demand make it as comfortable a flight as you can get IMO.

used them a couple times, two or three years ago. Entertainment system slightly less awsome than Emirates but otherwise on par with them. Doha airport is crap though (small, boring and loud. Although clean) so try to stay here as little time as poss.

Thanks guys! I decided Im actually going to fly around the world this trip. East via Qatar air to Patts, then returning East on Delta stopping in Japan and Detroit before hitting Washington DC. Why? Why not?!

I have flown with them from UK to LOS via Doha and found them to be very good.

It's a good company with new aircrafts and the on board service is fine.

I would certainly use them again.

I've tried them a couple of times and it is a good airline, roughly the same quality as Emirates or Etihad.

I agree that Doha airport is boring, it doesn't even have a place to drink a beer, only restaurants or coffee shops serving non-alcoholic drinks.

Pattaya is not just one more place where we can enjoy our favourite hobby, Pattaya is the sacred land where we can practise our religion.

Am thinking of the Houston-Doha-Bangkok route in February. I like the flying time tables. Not long on the ground in Doha too.

Had with QR some of my worst flight experience ever.

I flew two times with QR, and both flights from Qatar to Madrid and to Berlin were completely packed with family clans of low class Indians (I know, not all are like that).

In the cabin was more noise than during a Muai Thai boxing final, some babies threw out and whinged for hours, while several guys farted unrestrained.

After this unique experience, I will never ever use the services of the World’s 5-star airline any more.

As everyone has said they area good airline with very reasonable prices. Flew with them last year and would definately do so again. Going with Etihad this year to see how they compare.

I wouldn't fly with them now out of principle, bribing their way in the 2022 World Cup
