Looking for a place to stay mid January, any suggestions?

As the title says, I'm looking for a place to stay for my second trip to Pattaya. On my last trip I stayed at the August Suites, which I think was an awesome place. Spent around 2400 THB a night for an executive suite, which wasn't bad for my 3 night stay in September. I've been looking at prices for my stay in January, and prices vary from 1800 THB for a regular suite to roughly 3200 THB for the exec suite. I plan on staying a Pattaya for 14 to 15 nights, and well I don't think I want to spend that much (3200) a night, that money could be better spent on Thai Girls ;)

Here's what I like about August Suites:

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION... I think its perfectly situated, tucked away from the busy street that is Central and Second. I kinda enjoyed walking around when I was there the last time.

Bathrooms... What can I say, their bathrooms rock.

Room size... I really enjoyed the Executive Suite, but I don't think I need a room that big. Maybe a regular suite will do.

Hospitality... The staff at August Suites were great, I'd like equal or better service.

Do you guys have any suggestions?

my guess is , if you contact the hotel about a week before saying you will stay for the whole 15 days with them then you will get more or less the same price

the chances of a real high season this year are practically nil and there will be loads about at the 2400 bt a night, I stayed in Tims Boutique Last year in Jan and that was 2200 a night for the jacuzzi room

On the August Suites website, you can read : "Rates are negotiable for long-term stay customers. Set your budget, and call us!"

Why don't give it a try ?

I got those price quotes from Agoda.com for that time of the year. I'll just have to call them or I might have to look into Tims Boutique and see what sort of rates they have this year.

Thanks for the heads up. I was looking through a few threads and came across one where they mention LKMiracle Suites, has anyone stayed there? On one hand it looks like its away from all of the action, but on the other its somewhat close to Walking Street. Rooms are also big, and they have nice looking showers. Does anybody know what the atmosphere there is like? Is the Staff friendly?

I stayed across the street at Bella Express. While the rooms were quite simple (no where near the quality of August Suites), the location is same same and I got in for 800 baht a night. The pool area is fantastic and the hotel is good overall. Might want to look into it if you are looking for a downgrade in the same Pattaya central location.

Try Citin Loft. I'll be staying there in January as well. It's just around the corner from August Suites, on a small street connecting Soi 12 and 14. Big and confortable rooms, absolutely quiet. Friendly and smiling staff.

I don't believe there's a lie in every smile.
