changing face of pattaya

I was just wondering if Pattaya has changed much in the last 10 or 20 years????? I was there for the first time in may and noticed a lot of construction going on with new hotels and shopping malls and also work on a new freeway and wondered if it would change much or if they would try to attract a different sort of tourist in the future???

it changes about every 6 mth imo

Two big changes I've noticed since my first trip 8 years ago--

 

1) A LOT more families, kids, Russians, etc.

 

2) Significant increase in condos, shopping, so accompanied with a DRAMATIC rise in 'asking' property prices.

Golf courses full of Koreans in peak season and shops full of Russians and first time I came we got over 90bt to the £ main changes for me

My 1st visit to pattaya was in the eighties, and so much change over the years from a near idle fishing village to one of the busiest places in Thailand, and more development going on and the arrival of the russians, where next do we look for the P4P scene!!!!!!
