the trip from the airport to patts

everytime im heading to patts from the airport it is sort of a tradition of mine to stop at the 7eleven to grab some pre-drinks for the trip there, only when i stopped there about 6 weeks ago they wouldn't sell alcohol because it was after 12 oclock! it was'nt buddha day or anything, i just can't work out whats changed. has anyone else had the same problem or is it just me??

not ment to sell alcohol between midday and 5pm has always been the same but most dont follow this but every now and again have a clamp down

i always get to 7 between 11pm and 1am, this is the one by the maccas about 20 mins from the airport, and this is the only time i havn't been able to buy booze.
