Just checked the exchange rates.

 

A$ buying 30.26 Bht (haven't seen it over 30 in years)

and it is now also over parity with US$ at 1.016 can't remember this.

 

This makes it a great time for a trip from aussie to LOS or almost anywhere.

 

I don't understand why it is so strong, but great news for any traveller.

I thought it would be closer to Christmas before it broke through the Bt30 barrier.

 

Oh well I am off there in 8 days so it all has worked out for me.

It is great to be aussie with the dollar above the us greenback and the so called experts reckon it will stay that way until mid 2013.We can only hope if you are living overseas or planning to do so.

The best I have seen on the street so far is 29.75. At the yellow exchange TT? So still below 30Bt for cash. last time I remember getting over 30bt was 2007.

the first time i went in 2004 it was 34 to the dollar! i want to see it hit that rate again sometime in the near future.

I was there at that time , it' been down the slippery slope ever since, can only hope it gets back up there maybe even 35
