Discussions on using Pattaya as a host city for the World EXPO 2020

From Pattaya One's website: On Thursday Morning we attended a meeting in Bangkok where discussions are continuing regarding Thailand’s proposed bid to host the World EXPO 2020.

 

This is yet more evidence that the use of the words Thai and logic in the same sentence is an oxymoron. I thought it was a good idea until I realised that it was not the 'World SEXPO 2020 bid' that they were on about but the 'World EXPO 2020 bid'.....lol

 

Here is a quote posted in one of the comments on the article: “One concern was raised that the image of Pattaya and its adult orientated entertainment venues may affect the bid and it was mentioned that a proposed world tour of travel fairs by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to promote Pattaya as a family tourist destination has encountered problems as some countries have banned them as they consider Pattaya to have a tarnished reputation.”

 

I can't stop laughing!!!!! What's next, the Olympics!!
