hi lads

this is just to let you all know about the ktk apartments i have just booked in fot 3 months and got a really good deal.

at least i think i have you might know better. still only 40.000 baht plus water and power is not half bad as the room are very big. king size bed good size shower lots of room for two or more must say i have only had two in it but still got lots of time to try three.there is a indoor pool and a small gyn plus free internet.

also there is some noise due to all the new hotels and apartments that are going up all around it.

and it is not on the baht bus route but still as i am getting a bike to day no problem.

here are a few photos of the room.

40k / 3 months = 13,333THB per month... still a bit expensive imo.

Can you recommend some place with pool , gym , balcony for less . Thanks.

Yes Cantebury Tales..has everything except pool and gym and the rooms are not nearly as nice.

But you can save a few bath!

Scaffman booked this place over the xmas period, its a 5star complex, most guesthouses will charge you more than this, and they don't even come close to ktk,and at 13333bht a month thats great value.Restaurant downstairs, lift, indoor pool, free wifi and maid once a week, small gym,24hour reception,5mins to Soi 6,15mins to soi7....

Looks nice.

What about housekeeping? (towels, sheets)

Many places that have monthly rates do not provide this service or cut it back to once a week.

you are not me... so... unfortunately no. an explanation of this answer would be too long and off the subject so... congrats on a nice room - enjoy!

I fail to see how anyone would think that 13,333baht a month, which works out to roughly 445baht per night, is too expensive.

I mean it seems to me, admittedly a novice since my first trip is next week, that anything one might find that cheaply wouldn't compare to what I've seen of these pics. It would have to be a seriously whacked-out location somewhere before I could ignore such prices. I suppose there could be other significant concerns I'm not allowing for by way of comparison?

I'm currently pricing for a month and although I realize three months should be cheaper than one, I have gotten quotes anywhere from 1000baht a night to 65,000 a month for a suite. Now bear in mind I'm shopping for something in the range of what I see in the OPs pics as far as quality rather than a best deal budget thing. At the same time I'm not budgeting for a prince either. Some places claim this is all that's available for my dates (the suite, etc.). If they're bluffing to get me into something pricier or not I couldn't really say.

My point is if there's better deals I'd certainly like to know before I commit elsewere, which is unavoidably going to happen now much sooner than later. Pretty sure I'm not alone in my search nor curiosity. Fresh, informed, perspectives are most always welcomed in my experience. Thanks in advance to those chosing to share them now.

Peace,

TM

Not sure what that has to do with it. I'd be interested as well if you know of a place.

I'm guessing a lot of condos though would have a pool, gym, and balcony. Nirun would be cheaper I guess come to think of it.

So there you go maxtroy...Nirun Condos

Ah yeah...I've heard Maxx has some of the better internet in town, but I can't say I've stayed there first hand. Only visited to check out the rooms. Definitely a nice option compared to KTK.

I think that KTK's great though.

I walked in Maxx Central, Maxx Place, and KTK last week around Dec 13. None had any rooms before mid - late Jan.

Location not great but if you have the time & want some nice accommodation that is for a long stay & a great price then this KTK is very good from what I have seen.

I have been there & I did check it out.

Any members who do not like motor bike taxis or have problems with walking it is a no no IMO.

15 minutes walk from second road/Tops supermarket.

Street pics will feature in my SEX ON FIRE report.
