Sak Yant Tattoo

Recommended Posts

Sak Yant should be done by a monk so the Yant will have the power intended for each tattoo. IMHO Having anyone but a Monk apply these blessed Yant to your body is like buying a Fake Rolex Its just for show you should really believe in the power of the Yant if your going to apply them to your Body. If your in the Kingdom and just miles or a hour or so from a monk that could apply them with the Blessing you should do it right. Here is a really good site about sank Yant and Directory of Temples and the Monks that apply them hope this helps.

Sak Yant

Gee whizz, guess who is listed in there, Ajarn (Archan) Anek and quite a few other Ajarn's all of who are not monks, they are Ajarn's, which means "Master".

It is firmly believed by Thais, that they possess the same power as a Sak Yant done by a Monk.

Sorry, Bam Bam I meant no disrespect I was just stating my Beliefs or my Opinion. Yes you are correct Ajarns are listed as teachers or masters of the Art Form (Sak Yant tattooing). I was unaware that that they possess the same power as a Sak Yant done by a Monk. I was just saying my choice would be at a Temple by a Monk.Unfortunately, in many cases it is just a Desire to follow fashion and get an unusual mystical looking tattoo. If people do not believe in the power of a Yant and are not prepared to follow the rules of conduct that go with a Yant then they would be better just to go to a Tattoo Studio. Once again I was just offering Info on the Subject.

No need to book as such, but go have a look at the website again and get Jaan's phone number and call him the day before you want to go out there, so they are expecting you. You will find his number down near the bottom of the page.

I think you guys are coming at the same point from different directions. IE. If you are serious about it, don't go get one from some dude down on art street, go to someone you believe has the ability to do it right.

Thanks to both of you guys for the info, its something I have been thinking about doing too, but want to be sure to do right.

I have to say though that the sak-yant.com webpage is one of the ugliest ever :(

Sak yant should be done by an ajarn or a monk. I will only havw mine done by the latter.

Having a yant done in a normal tatto shop is like getting married in vegas with your fingers crossed. Has no meaning....

Mate,

I think it's all in personal belief... If tattoos and amulets could have helped to become rich and influential, then all girls would have got a few of them, struck riches and there would have been no Pattaya, Nana or Soi Cowboy. Or at least that's my belief unless all these girls work for the love of taking care of farangs or are horn bags.

Some dont carry amulets as thei wont taint them with their shady business. And if you are supposed to get any benifit from sak yant or amulets. There are rules and customs to follow. Most of them dont go hand in hand with beeing a BG.
