I know it's old..it has really good reviews. by some and awful reviews..by others...Trip Advisor and Agoda..

 

I have booked it partly due to location, and having the desire to camp-out.. so to speak..roughing it...maybe, roughing it- with some less costly BL's this time- whose noses are not too high..and the costs are not as extreme to my drained wallut as the go-go's who want so much more...and take whatever they can get away with..

 

I just feel like slumming it this time.

 

Please let me know if any of you?? have ever lower you're standards to the point of this Sawasdee..all of them- have kind of the same reputation..of smell, slim, and mildew Maybe, I not shower and be a really smelly farang this time..

 

At least I will be in a Superior room with A/C-some of the standards only have fans..and that is beyond camping for me.

I think you would be better of staying in one of the guest houses in Soi LK they have more facilities usually and are better run. depending on when and how long you are going to be there you may even get a special deal

My first trip to Patts I stayed in a superior room at Sawasdee Sabai - cheap, comfortable, couldn't complain about anything for the price at the time, but these days I like to spend a litttle more for a bit more comfort - lots of excellent rooms for around $1000 bt which is about what I like to pay.

Mate - what dates are you going because I know a far better place than that but the price is dependent on the time of year.

And - how much have you been quoted here?

I stayed in one for a few days lat year and they are not that bad. I showered and shagged in them and the BGs didn't mind as long as the 1000 baht note was left on their bag the next day. But I would prefer a guesthouse over them as they are noisy.
