The only reason I'm posting this is the very last comment.

Good grief!! Did you see all the other links for stories of people jumping or falling off balconies in Pattaya!?!? What's up with that?? Is that common in Pattaya?

The Pattaya Free fall. Yes it does appear to be a fairly common occurence. Not something anyone should be afraid of Pattaya for. It tends to be the long termers or ex pats mainly. I guess down to money or relationship issues often fueled by alcohol and multiplyed by living the 'Thailand Dream'. I guess when that dream becomes a nightmare and you live on the 15th floor shit happens. There are rumours of people being 'helped' off balconies occasionally too! suspicion-surrounds-fatal-fall-of-thai-woman-at-center-condo-in-south-pattaya/

I actually came across this Soi 6 story because of another famous thread on this board and its coverage of a recent jumper. retired-thai-customs-officer-falls-to-her-death-from-pattaya-condo

If it really worries you just make sure you book a 1st floor room. :Number1a:

If anything were to worry me about it, it would just be the fact that I don't want to be walking somewhere and get hit by a falling person a la Amelie...LOL
