I will be flying into bangkok then catching a domestic flight up to chiang mai the next day.

If i bring some rum from home and leave it in the duty free bag am i able to take it with me on domestic flights? I know they only allow 100mls of liquids onto the plane but i am not sure what the go is with duty free booze, and i don't want to put it in my luggage in case it breaks and i am forced to squeeze it out of my clothes for a drink.

Thanks

'Fraid not: the restrictions applied on hand-carried liquids on international flights also apply to domestic flights. Given that you plan to leave the airport, your rum can't be treated as an airside purchase.

Here's what you do: apply a large-size condom to the bottle, tie a knot in it and then wrap it in your thickest pair of pyjamas. Or drink it during your overnight stay....
