To be honest, I'm not impressed with these weird fruits like mangosteens, durian, etc. I think they taste just fine and don't mind having them - but it's not something I miss when I go back home.

Mango's for me with some nice coconut sticky rice

Noi Na is the most awesome food I've eaten in my life. 60 baht ones are huge and better than the 20-30 baht ones. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Custard-apple

Rotten mangoes since I can't get ripe peaches. I just lobe the sweet nectar. Guess, I had a rotten something from Rayong once and couldn't shake her.

Long Kong, Lychee and especially Persimmon (not too sweet and a little firm) are my favourites when in Thailand.

Guava, Lychee and Persimmon are my favorites.

I called that fruit Lychee, they told me off and called it something else.

Lychee is the correct name, 'they" probably could not follow your pronunciation............

Could try the Fruit section at Central Festival.  :ThumbUp6:
