Most of the girls come from northeast Thailand, quite a poor area with a lot of paddy fields, the Isaan. Apart from agriculture there are not many other means of earning money, which is the reason why a lot of the younger people try their luck in the cities.

 

For example, in Pattaya the hotels, restaurants and supermarkets etc, are despairingly looking for workers and that for above average wages. Of course it is easier, more rewarding and nicer for the girls to earn their money in the sex business, or as the case may be, in a bar. Celebrating and partying agrees with the Thai mentality, some only work until they have enough money for the next day before taking a break. This is one reason why a lot of capital in Thailand is in the hands of the Chinese.

 

Most girls are “recruited” by girlfriends who already have a job in a bar. Of course, when they visit home they like to show their “status symbols”, for example, expensive mobile phone, gold jewellery, brand name clothes etc. This makes the girls at home envious and the bars are always looking for new girls – younger sisters and friends will then want to get involved – and it’s better than hanging around the village doing nothing at all.

 

Some set off to Bangkok or Pattaya to get a job in a supermarket or laundry etc. or as a chambermaid in a hotel. After a short time they realise how easily the bar girls are earning many times the amount they themselves do; not forgetting the fun factor. The girls in the bars often form groups of friends, are always together and have the feeling that this is like a large family. After a while the girls in the supermarkets etc. quite often move from their strenuous job to a bar, is understandable really.

 

The girls’ service

 

Prostitution is illegal in Thailand, even if this is a shock to you, it’s true. However, nobody needs to be worried about this, especially us, it’s quite normal and nobody bothers about it at all.

 

Of course there are a lot of stupid prejudices with regard to the girls in Thailand. For example, that the poor things are forced to prostitute by pimps and that the pimps cash in, and, that they are exploited by their clients. Apart from this they are only children and sex tourists are disgusting paedophile pigs. All wrong. There are no pimps in Thailand, the girls carry out there pleasant work on a voluntary basis and they are all of age. If anyone happens to be exploited, then we are.

 

Of course it is true that to us Asian women look younger than they really are, especially for the inexperienced eye. Sometimes even a 30 year old mother with three children is thought to be about 14 years of age. Don’t worry, all Thais have an ID card with which it is possible to find out how old they are (more later).

 

The service: Whilst here at home about 99.5% of that what one becomes for money does not earn the expression GFS (girlfriend sex), in Thailand it is quite normal and standard. The girls give us the pleasant impression that they are our girlfriend. There are no restrictions at all such as the poor old bothered client here experiences and, obviously due to the lack of alternatives here at home has to be accepted without complaint. One gets depressed when one reads in forums about paying for sex where one lives, how some are made fools of and how the piss is taken. When one then reads how when saying goodbye in the Frankfurt station area or in St. Pauli in Hamburg, that some are given an extra kiss for their money, it brings tears to one’s eyes.

 

Of course one must pay no extra for the girl to get undressed (no women’s lib here) etc. On the contrary, everything is permitted such as with one’s own girlfriend. But, don’t expect all of them to like anal sex or other unusual practices, one should sort things like that out beforehand. Nevertheless, such things never cost extra. Either the girl is willing or you look for another, or as the case may be, one does without. On the other hand many things just happen without discussion, especially when spending a few days with a girl. Just take things easy.

 

All in all when talking about the service and especially the girls, Thailand is a men’s paradise. Just let yourself be surprised – it cannot be compared with here, it is much much better, a completely different world.

I have said this before, and feel compelled to say it again. I have never treated a bg any different to a lady I would date in my home town. I treat them with respect and compassion. I listen to their stories, and look at photos of their family. The result is that I always receive excellent service. I know it is commerce and they are academy award winning actresses, but that doesn't mean it is ok for me to treat them poorly. My friends share my view and have wonderful memories, and never any trouble.

 

I do hope part of the success is in the 'selection process'. A good mate of mine told me once never to assume the bg will go with you. Always ask politely. I've found a handy routine which may assist other readers. It goes like this.

 

I say "If you are not busy tonight, I thik it would be nice for you to join me. Are you free?"

"I not free darling" is a standard response.

I reply "Oh the English language is a complicated one in which words take on many meanings."

To which I sometimes have returned "You want another drink?"

"Hahahaha, you are a sweet girl, but may I ask what the bar fine is?"

"Oh, honey for a hansum man like choo, tree hundre thai baht".

"Great, would it be ok if I bf'd you?"

"Me?"

"Yes you, I have had a great night."

"Yes."

"Ok, but for you ... how much?"

"How much you want to pay me darling?"

I tilt my head as if to consider this very carefully, and say "1 million baht."

We both end up laughing.

Then I straighten up my head look her in the eyes, and say "1000THB, please stay with me until 10 in the morning, I think that would be nice." And I smile.

Never had a problem, and now it is more routine.

 

Bit of a joking approach to it, and by that stage I will have spent an hour or so with them and I would like to think they understand I will approach the night, or two, with respect and no issues.

 

Grubert, thanks for the great read, it reminded me of the routine, which I have unfortunately seen so many fail to bother with. From your post I sense you may have your own routine which allows the girls to know they are in safe hands. There is nothing like the feeling of waking up next to a Thai girl and she rubs her eyes and smiles at you.

Are you talking primarily about short time girls? Because I can stand only 3 days of their BS and sometimes only 1 but never more than a week unless of course she is a good thai girl. There are some decent girls who work as BG but they don't stay in the business forever. Those that do I really feel sorry for.

I wouldn't say there are no pimps in Thailand. Yes the majority of gals in the tourist bars at Pattaya & Phuket are there of their own free will. But there's also a nation-wide newtwork of prostitution/sexual slavery run by Thais/Chinese for Thais/Chinese and rarely used by foreigners. Young gals are sold into this by their families, or kidnapped by dealers and sent away to work in brothels all over the country. Anyway, many Thai FLs have their Thai pimps. I've been asked by Thai men if I want "sexy girl" numerous times, all over Thailand. These guys are pimps, getting customers for their hos.

 

Many of the Thai/Burmese/Cambodian gals that end up in Thai brothels are underage. If you watch Thai TV and look at the Thai newpapers you'll see raids on these places happening almost daily. Under-age gals have also been found in bars, clubs, FL on the streets in Pattaya, Phuket, BKK. But generally the gals in Pattaya/BKK bars are all legal age.

 

Correct that the Thai gals often look much younger. Many guys, myself included, have copped some flack at times for being with "young" girls, when in fact they are with a women in her late 20s or 30s who is a divorcee with 2 or 3 children.

Although I agree with most of your statements especially on Thai culture I disagree with the statement that there are NO PIMPS in Thailand. Often it is the husband or boyfriend and often he lives off her farang earned (prostitution) income to give him a better life, toys, alcohol or drugs. When a Thai mother from Isaan brings her 17 year old daughter to work bar here she knows full well what she is doing and expects to be looked after for raising her. The family may want extra income for many reasons including a better lifestyle, medical issues or vices like drugs, booze or gambling. They may not actively pimp the girls (I has seen some that have) but have no shame living off the avails, sorry I call that pimping. I agree in western countries "pimping" is worse and more enforced, often with brutality and drugs.

 

Usually girls are free to quit and leave any bars or freelance areas and are just lovely enterpruners and are not ashamed with their profession.

As stated earlier many illegals are actively pimped in Thai brothels and this accurs throught Asia.

I have only seen one area where there were supposedly underage Lao girls and that was in Udon on a very dumpy street with shacks that had no appearance of what was really going on there and shown to me by a Thai girl. Of course I did not stop there to have a look as a drive by on the motor bike was enough for me but I have been to karaoke bars all over Thailand and never saw slavery. However I always see alot of inflated statistics about how many Uni girls are in the biz but again I have been to very many universities in the North East and never saw or approached by one of these girls. There is an awful lot of bogus propoganda regarding Thai prostitution among uni students and trafficked women inside the country of Thailand. There was much more of that type of thing going on 20 years ago and even 15 years ago. Now the poor are more mobile and have more choices to do what they want thanks to Thaskin policies during the early to mid 2000 years.

Some interesting points in the OP although some of it is rather naive, as others have pointed out (e.g. 'no pimps in Thailand' depends on what you define as a pimp!). Also to say that all prostitutes are 'all of age' is ridiculous and quite untrue. In the Thai P4P arena young girls are highly prized and while there is certainly more control in the farang P4P arena. especially in the farang run bars, there are many underage girls working, some blatantly but most with fake or borrowed IDs.
