If you want to save a few Bob....The best place for shopping I have ever had was when I was working in Macau. The Mainland was a just 5 minutes over the border and cheap as chips. The south of China has some awesome destinations and some great shopping to be had.

Have a side trip and stay for a day or 2...Its 4 hour from Bkk and they can fly you right into Macau, where you can gamble at the casino's and hop over into Zhuhai for some shopping...

I dont go to Bkk anymore these days too much traffic/smog/people and it gives me the shits cause, I always come home with a head ache. Shop in Pattaya and when the haggling gets too much and its time for a break, there are plenty of Beer Bars for a drink and the beach for an afternoon nap.

depends what she wants to buy. Obviously more variety in Bangkok.

Farang = Walking ATM. TG's push the right buttons and money comes out. PIN = BBBJ

As much as I hate shopping with any woman, I have to say that at the end of the day Patt is where I would like to be.. Getting around in BKK can be as pleasant as sticking a sharp stick in your eye.

The variance on the prices are really not the much for me to give up my peace of mind. Baht Bus rocks..IMHO

to accept conditions as they exist,

or accept the responsibility for changing them.

Bangkok hands down. Everything sold in Pattaya comes from Bangkok. So not only you will save money but also the choices and range is so so so much more.

Depending what you after, some areas to shop are

Pratunam Markets(in and out around Indra hotel, very good on the weekends, not all open on Monday)

Platinum Fashion Mall in Pratunam-huge choice of fashion and shoes

Siam Square-brand names, designer labels, also some fashion designs

Bo Bae Markets-cheap and good, but variety is not a good

Chatuchak Markets-has everything for everyone. Biggest market in Asia. From live animals, t furniture, fashion, shoes, and more and more. You will need a full day there and still will not see everything.

Hope it helps

PS. For mature lady in size S-L, quality brand name, go to Sukhumvit soi 12 Times Square, second floor shop Jaspal, Expensive popular Thai brand, excellent quality clothing. There they have factory outlet prices are 90% cheaper then the store

There are three sides to every argument: your side, my side and the right side.

If you are going to buy lots of items then a trip to Bangkok would be worth it.

Before you leave home, look on Ebay just to get a idea of prices/styles/colors and range. Get an idea at what you want to buy first and go from there.Shopping in Thailand can be challenging at times ,because unless its at the shop keepers finger tips , you may be hard pressed getting exactly want you want. Kuff has an awesome list the only thing i can add is... MBK shopping centre its near the National stadium.

You have much more variety and access to higher end shopping in Bangkok. Plus the weekend market at Chatuchak is a big draw. On the other hand, if you want to keep her away from the high end shops and spending all your money, Pattaya might be a better move.

    • For those that don't know, I did Friday meetings before many years ago,  I feel like we are missing a regular meeting for members,  I am aware guys meet at PA affiliated bars. But I want to start meeting people again, I'm inviting the guys following my YouTube also.

The meetings is a chance to get to meet each other,  I plan to be at every meeting, I also have Dean from Dive bar that has offered to help out with a crawl after.
The meetings will be  Monday  6 pm - 8 pm each week.  (The improvised bar crawl will commence at 8 p.m.  Dean will make his own plans for that.)

Due to low numbers of people in town, I will start the meetings in our bars to help our girls and managers, please check back often incase things are changed.  I will be sharing the love around town later, but Soi 6 is first on my list (including bars that are friendly competition)
If bar owners want us to have a meeting at their bar,  they need to have a minimum of 10 girls.  I'm not dragging people to empty bars for favours.
Please help us invite other members, it takes a while to get momentum.
Monday 6 pm - 8pm  (then bar crawl after)
      21st March - Playpen Soi 6
28th March - Night wish bar Soi 6

      11th April - Repent Soi 6
18th April - where angels play Soi 6
25th April -  (next bar we have open)

2nd May - (next bar we have open)
      9th May - Cooters bar soi 6
16th May - Hot shots bar Soi 6
23rd May - (next bar we have open)
      30th of May - Lust soi 6
      6th of June - Illuzion
13th of June - (next bar we have open)

I look forward to meeting people again.
