Pattaya to Koh Chang Transportation

I'm getting some conflicting information, and I'm hopeful that some kindly BM will offer some words of experience.

 

Are there several options for travel from Pattaya to Koh Chang? If so, is one significantly preferable over the next? (I've searched P-A, but haven't found much.) Costs, travel time, comfort (or lack of it), etc.

just ask the many tour stalls all over pattaya, i got the bus & ferry ticket combined, i think it was 600tbt , look at my trip report titled ko chang..gives you a bit more info..

Also planning on going to Koh Chang for a few days during my next visit.

Are there any suggestions on reasonably priced places to stay?
