Just got back from Thailand. While in Pattaya I stayed at Dynasty Inn on Soi 13 and Secrets right off Walking Street. At first I thought Dynasty Inn was really nice but my room had roaches and not just a few. I have stayed at the Dynasty resort before up on the hill and never had any problems. The resort is not very convenient but it is serene and a nice place to relax. Secrets has a great bar, is convenient, and the owner Larry was a good guy and the hotel had the most comfortable bed I slept in while in Thailand. It was a little noisy though as I was warned about on the forums, but it didn't cause me any problems. I didn't take any girls from Secret's bar cause I fell in love (not literally, well almost) with a girl from one of the gogo's but I noticed a few cute ones there at Secrets. I mostly went during the day to the bar so I probably didn't get to see their choicest girls. I am curious about something one of the girls said though. She said the girls with red necklaces cannot be barfined. Anyone know differently? I was gonna ask the owner cause I saw him there all the time but then the last two times I was in the bar he was out.

Maybe red means they have their period and no use for clients to barfine them.

 

Actually, Lidl - a German discount supermarket chain has a policy that when women employee - that work in the store have their periods, they have to wear a red bow so they are allowed to have 2 toilet breaks instead of 1 in entire 8 hour shift.

 

Talk about slavery conditions and mobing.

 

When you're looking from this perspective, it's much easier for a Pattaya hooker to catch some wealthy man to drag her from such work than German woman working in such supermarket behind the counter.

 

Bottom line - it's very relative who lives a life with more fun.

 

This maybe explains why Pattaya girls leave to foreign country with a foreigner and then comes back and goes back working in bars.

 

Less money, but also less stress and more fun.

Thank you for the info. I was planning on staying there for a month in January. They offered me a discount on a 4 week stay, standard room for 1,050 baht from the first day after peak season ends mid January.

I have been staying at the Dynasty Inn now for 4 years at least twice each year and have always found it to be extremely clean and well run. A nice feature about the hotel is that the air conditioners are well maintained and always cool the room quickly not like some of the places I have stayed in. They are also girl friendly and do not charge to bring a girl to the room unless you bring two back and then the second one is charged at 500 bart but they bring additional towels for your guests. Location is also excellent as the bart busses can be caught in either direction with just a short walk up or down the soi. Also across the road is the Lek hotel that has a eat as much as you like buffet which is great for breakfast.

Stay a couple of nights last may. Have to say that I did not see any roaches. Staff was very friendy and the place was extremely clean.

Stayed there last June, friendly staff and a clean room. Pool is very small and the hot water for shower was not really hot.

Just got back from there about 3 weeks ago ,what you say is still all good -but do not get a room and the street side (soi13) or you will be keep up all night by that bar next door . Get a room on the back side and it's all good .
