Runtime Error

Shivers

Recommended Posts

When I try to log into the Student Portal for the college I'm taking online classes with, I'm getting the below Runtime Error. Anyone familiar with this and know how I can go about fixing it. It let me log in about 30 minutes ago, but now I just get the Runtime Error over and over again. If it matters, I have a MacBook.

THANKS!

Server Error in '/' Application.

Runtime Error

Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>

<system.web>

<customErrors mode="Off"/>

</system.web>

</configuration>

Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>

<system.web>

<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>

</system.web>

</configuration>

Just glancing at it the problem is likely on their end. You can try another browser like Chrome or Firefox if you are using Safari.

Try a different browqser then try a different computer. If still getting the error on a different PC then its defiantely the provider. If it wowkrs ona different PC then its your PC and need to figure out what is wrong. In which case the quickest way to try to resolve this might be to do a system restore back to the time it last workedas it might be something as changed on your PC and messed things up with the application.

Yep, must have been on their end. I tried a different computer and internet line and got the same thing. They've since fixed it...running fine now. Thanks for the responses! :)
