Villa

Hi, we are going to Pattaya for the first time in November and would like to ask for some advice.

 

Would it be a good idea to hire a villa for the 10 days that has maid service or is a hotel room the best bet?

 

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thourght the same myself,newbie too ,had to weigh up convienience v security v location.Would have loved a private villa and swimming pool but as 1st time visitor thourght Id get the lay of the land first,have the opportunity to meet with regular and experienced mongers and get their take -I thourght a central hotel /guest house would be best for this.There always next time I suppose for alternatives

How many of you are going? My first trip, 5 of us stayed in a very large villa (6 bedroom, 5000 square foot). While it was nice having your own swimming pool, driver, etc., I don't think I'd do it again. There are so many nice hotels close to the action for much cheaper. If it is a fairly large group of you that would all like to stay together and can split the cost then it might work out.

There are only three of us going but I was thinking about the privacy aspect also I thought that the cost would be a lot less for the villa as opposed to hotel rooms
