Health and Fitness tips in Pattaya

layow

Recommended Posts

Hi peoples, starting a thread on keeping fit and healthy while visiting or living in Pattaya.

Add you own or ask questions.

The first tip I'd like to add is:

Water water water, drink lots of water.

It's easy to get dehydrated with the heat, the shagging and booze.

Try to keep you piss (urine) as close to clear as possible.

Cheers

Heaps of water for hydration, Barocca Performance as vitamin supplement in the morning after breakfast, 400 ml of pro-biotic milk and proper massage once in 2 days.

Tip:

Try not to sleep with AC on all night, use fans where possible or set the thermostat (providing its working) to a higher setting so it switches off as the temp lowers.

>Unless they are cleaned often they can harbor fungi and molds which you dont want to be breathing all night.

>Air Co drys the air out which drys your throat and mucus membranes in your nose

and allows some viruses a better chance of infecting you.

>Makes leaving the room for the outside much harder and tiring.

Stay fit and healthy

I will be in Pattaya for approx 6 months after 1st part of year. How much do you charge for personal training. What about Gym fees? I'm in my forties, I assume too old for Muay Thai lessons?

You can surely still take MuayThai lessons at what ever age you have. The trainers are good and experienced in adapting the padholding to your physical level and abilities.

Go for it.

Assholes mongering tips.

B-12

This is covered in another thread. If you can handle the injections, go for it. Another way to get similar benefits, but not as good as injection, is to use sub-lingual B-12. You usually see 1000 mcg, but look for the 5000 if you can find them. I take a 5 at a time, after breakfast. It will put that spring back in your step.

Water and Vitamin C

I know I am supposed to drink more agua, but it is difficult. I like to take those Emergen-C packs, or any Vitamin C fizzy. Toss it in a water bottle, and now I can drink it.

Protein Bars

My eating habits tend to go south when mongering. So I carry a bunch of protein bars. If I miss a meal, or spend mealtime drinking, I can wolf down a protein bar. And I know that they are not going to upset my stomach, or irritate my palate (as if I had a palate). And it is available 24/7.

Tylenol PM

Poor man's Valium. I use it to sleep on a plane, and to sleep to get my clock set to different time zones.

REST! You will make yourself sick if you go out every night. Take at least one night off every 2 weeks to rest and recuperate.

2.

Get good sleep. Your body needs sleep and your immune system and faculties will decrease without it

3.

Eat fruit. It can be hard with all the great Thai food, but you need a mix of fruit and veg to give your body energy.

4.

Exercise. I know we get enough of that in the bedroom. However go for a good walk or a swim, make sure your cardio vascular system is being worked.

5.

Mix water with Booze. Don't lay off the booze but mixing water will lesson the hang overs and strain on your body.

6.

Take a siesta. The spanish don't hide from the afternoon sun for a reason. You dont have to sleep, just lie back and relax. Might bee a good time to have a long massage in a cool dark room as well.

7.

Use insect repellent. You can get many illnesses from bites or simply get run down.

8.

Use a rubber. speaks for itself really

9.

Don't go down on too many girls, stds aside, you can infect your throat or inflame the lining if your throat. This will make you unwell and run your down.

10.

Don't do too much viagra, it adds up and runns your down. Also if you buy some or some cialis and it makes your sick, then stop for a few days and throw away the pack, it may be duff.(Last one happened to me and I lost 3 days of my holiday.)

When drinking lots of water, go the any pharmacy and buy some sachets of electrolytes(5 baht each) drink 3-6 of these throughout the day mixed with your water. When sweating, shagging, wanking or exercising you will lose electrolytes. These cannot be replaced by water alone. Deplete these too much and you will have all sorts of complications - cramping/no energy/mess with sexual performance, all sorts.

Every action has an equal and opposite reaction - "it was just the internet.." is not an excuse.

Number 9 is my downfall every visit and 10 using too much K gel

But after a visit to the clinic to see my friendly doc I'm right after a few days

Hydration is probably the number one thing. Dehydration caused my gout to flare up.

Yep and you can get gatorade and thai brand electrolyte drinks in the 7-11s.

I've noticed many tgs dont drink much, they obviously dont sweat as much as we do

but i've been hangin with a tg lately and she drinks near zero water and hardly ever goes to the toilet.

Trying to tell her her yellow eyes and jaundices skin was cause by this, she didnt care!!!

told her she was carrying 'dirty water' in her body and it would cause all sorts of problems

later in life, again she was 'so what'

I cannot understand this AT ALL, something so easy.

Also if you are not used to heat/humidity, especially humidity, give your body time to adjust if you want to exercise outdoors. I went jogging one morning at around 500 AM, and just a few minutes into it I was soaked with sweat and almost passing out.

Do they have influenza outbreaks in Thailand like here in the US? I doubt getting a flue shot before I leave next week is going to help me in Pattaya.

Water is good, but never too much or will give burden to your kidneys. Besides,it is said that "One apple a day keeps doctor away".

she probably has hepatitis, not likely from lack of water.

Hmm its easy to monitor the amount of water to drink, should pee every 3 to 4 hrs, should never actually be thirsty and your pee should be very light yellow.

btw

(This is during the day when not sucking back copious amount of beer etc when it really is a problem for your kidneys and liver.)

With the amount most guys sweat its more a problem of getting enough than to much
