Hi Casey,

I flew with them on the 4/09/10 they are not a new airline but have only just updated thier fleet and now want to compete with emirates, qatar and etihad as well as others. All brand new planes airbus 330 seating configuration of 2-4-2 in economy. Check in at heathrow not bad but as newish airline not Oman air staff at desks so serive with a smile is NOT in evidence. You get both boarding passes at the same time. One quirk i did notice when waiting in airport was that they called last call for flight before gate had opened!!!! Staff on flight ok but obviously still in training so not as slick as other airlines but you can see they are trying(something you do not see alot of these days) The entertainment system is a real plus about 80 movies to choose from including Karate kid, The A-Team and Robin Hood. Lots of tv shows as well as over 200 music albums to listen too with about 20 games also availible. The food was very good with a choice of three dishes and two meals on each flight. Muscat Airport is very small with a duty free area that does sell alcohol but none availble to purchase from a bar. IT does have a whsmith!!!! which came as a surprise. 3 smoke rooms and free wifi(for the wifi just search networks and 2 show up one needs a mobile for the code the other does not) both flights were on time and on arrival in bangkok was waiting for taxi 30 mins after landing.(That has to be some sort of record.)

So in conculsion i would give them 6/10 with room for improvement. That said as a young airline that is a good score. Would i fly with them again yes definatly in time they will be up with the big boys of the area so get on thier flights while thy ar still cheapas they won't stay like that for long.

Hope this helps.

Be well Dave

I have flown with Oman before and although there is no alcohol served they will give you coke for your duty free spirits, the planes were in great order so no issues there.

I would fly with them again.
