Here's the prices from their website: http://www.dentistbeach.com/dental_fees.htm

Teeth Whitening

Cool-Light Teeth Whitening 3,900 baht

Zoom 2! Teeth Whitening 10,000 baht

Zoom 2! + Scaling Airflow 10,500 baht

Laser Teeth Whitening 7,000 baht

I am planning on going in for the Zoom 2 for the best result. It's still over $300 US, but cheaper than back home.

had my teeth cleaned here in January they did a fantastic job didn't even try to force a filling on me I was convinced I needed they said would be fine for another year. I will always use these guys from now on as long as the prices stay competitive.

Big thanks to all the reviews and positive comment about this place.

I booked an appointment for the Cool-Light Teeth Whitening at 3,900 baht at the beginning of June. My teeth were ok but starting to look a bit dull. The procedure was fine and the staff at the place were great, gave good advice and didn’t try and push any extras or try to convince me that I needed to go for one of the stronger treatments. I was in and out with minimum fuss and really happy with the results and of course the price. For me the location was a plus too, easy to find and not out of the way (Central Festival Pattaya Beach).

I told my mate about it as his teeth are in a shocking state and he is going to go in for the full works on his next trip.

I've been trying to convince my girl to go get her teeth examined and cleaned as she has never been to the dentist, but she is scared out of her wits. Anyone else have this experience with their girl? If so, how did you handle it?

A lot of Thai dentists are women.

Take your girl along with you when you get a check up and let her talk to a woman dentist about it.

I just had my teeth cleaned and the laser whitening performed. The place was very clean, the staff very professional, and the prices very reasonable compared to the US! I will definitely be returning for any of my future dental needs!

I had done the Zoom2!! teeth whitening as well.

I would say that their service was efficient and good. Although after the whitening, I didn't feel really much of a different in terms of shade but when I ask my friend about it, they told me that there was an obvious difference. :-)

Last advice, if you are on a vacation, do the whitening on the last day of your trip. You wouldn't want to let those sensitive teeth to ruin your day there.

Dentist@Beach is located in the Central Festival Mall, which is between Soi’s 9 & 10, and runs from Beach Road to 2nd Road. They are on the 4th floor near the 2nd Road end of the mall.

I did some checking on the internet and this place seemed to have the best price on teeth whitening, only 3900 Baht. Other places seemed to be 5400 to 7000 Baht. I e-mailed them and found I did not need an appointment, I could just come in. After I arrived in Pattaya, I stopped by in the late afternoon on a Monday. They could get me in that evening, which I declined as I had other plans, or at 5 PM Tuesday, which I scheduled. They took my phone number (I didn’t have a phone so I just gave them the number of my hotel, Canterbury Tales). Apparently, they called almost immediately to confirm my upcoming appointment. Needless to say, I wasn’t there and Dave had no idea why they were calling.

Anyway, I went in on Tuesday and the first thing they did was offer me some pills in case my teeth were sensitive. I knew they weren’t, as I had this done 4 or 5 years ago in Bangkok, so I declined. First they take a set of fake (I hope) teeth and find the one that matches your “before” color. Then they put a fixture in your mouth which exposes your teeth and is supposed to protect your gums from the gel they use for whitening.

Pretty much all whitening is done with hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) which is unstable and breaks down into water (H2O) and an oxygen atom (O) which is very reactive. The oxygen does the whitening. Home treatments work very slowly because there is a limit to how strong the peroxide can be and how fast it breaks down. In the dentist’s office they can use a gel full of peroxide and cause it to break down unusually fast by using light of the appropriate wavelength to liberate the oxygen, making it much more powerfull and faster acting than home treatments.

The light can be a laser or an LED. Everyone charges more for the laser. I’m not sure why. The laser is coherent, but that shouldn’t make much difference. Maybe it’s the power level or a different wavelength. In any event, they also claim the laser will make your teeth a few shades whiter than the LED. Since I had told her my teeth aren’t sensitive, the dentist said she could give me a longer than normal treatment. And she did. I was there for about 1 hour and 45 minutes instead of an hour. No extra charge.

After you’re done they remove the fixture, vacuum off the gel and clean up your mouth. We went back to the set of fake teeth to find which one matched my new shade. I was amazed how much whiter my teeth were. A far better result than when I had it done in Bangkok for twice the price.

The only downside is that some of the gel leaked out and left a blister on the inside of my upper lip (it’s really potent stuff when it’s activated). The dentist treated it with something on a Q-tip and gave me a small container of the medicine to put more on later if necessary (it wasn’t necessary).

I didn’t have any other work done, so I can’t speak to it, but for what I did have I must say Dentist@Beach is fast, efficient, friendly and inexpensive. I wouldn’t hesitate to go there again.

Great info, thanks

I was looking for this dentist at central festival 2 weeks ago but i could´nt find it on the messageboard on the groundfloor, it was on a sunday so I supposed it was closed anyway so I didn´t look futher.

Instead I found a dentist on pattaya klang that was open on this sunday "dental paragon clinic" and I talked with an englishman who´s friend has been recommended him to go to this dentist.

The day after I had a laser whitening treetment including cleaning before ( I don´t think my teeth has been so clean sins i lost my milktooth) she ask me before if i think that my teeth was sensible and i didn´t think so but they have another treatment in that case for about 8.500bath instead of what i paid 5.500bath including all treatment.

4 of my teeth was shown sensitive, not big pain but the treatment takes one our so i probebly upgrade next time, the dentist show me before what i could expect - about 5-6 lighter result from what we were starting from and i think it was correct whith the result - i was happy!

But my mainreason to go to a dentist was to put out a tooth! I had a old "treatment" that fell out and i was to stupid that i didn´t fill it up directly so now i had to remove the tooth!

OK! I had booked this at the same appointment as the whitening - no problem.

I had now been at the dentist for one our or more and she was injecting painkilling in my toothflesh and i was thinking that this be finished in ten minutes and i´m out of here and being with my friends in a short time.

She starts to pull out my tooth and it hurt really much so she give me one more injection, starts to pull out the tooth again but it really hurts and i shout out in pain!

She asked me if i had any alcohol the day before and my answer was - yes. And i think she ment that the painkiller isn´t that effective in that case ( and i wonder why didn´t you staff tell me that yesterday? )

Now i really think what have i get into? it hurts really-really to much - can´t she just pull out the tooth really hard in one second and we are finished?

She told me now that normaly a tooth has 2 roots but that the one i´m pulling out has 3 and she will now try to go for one of them each time.

Then she told me that she will give me a third injection of the painkiller - she does and start a few minutes later to pull out the tooth (for me it feel like seconds).

I still screeming as a pig and i wonder what the girls/boys waiting outside in the waitingroom are feeling to get in to the dentistchair?

But now i had it and i told the dentist that i will quit the treatment - i can´t stand it any more! it´s to painful and i had no pain when i camed in here so i will do whith that!

Then she tells me that - if you finish now you will have pain aswell!!!!!!!!

And she showed me a picture of the constructure of the tooth and the "ball" in the end of the root that grow bigger everyday if you do not pull out the tooth.

Then i give a ok to proceed and think to myself that i wount screem even if i think that they are carving out my brain!!!

The dentist injected the 4 painkiller and starting to remove the roots and it hurts but not so much as before - she did it at last!!!

When it was over i felt wery "happy???" that it was ower -huuuuuu.

This thing taked probebly 1,5 hour - just to pull out my tooth and i think the dentist ( whit 2 assistants) only charge me the ordinary price to pull out a tooth - about 500 bath. Plus 5.500bath for the one our teethwhitening.

I used to suffer terribly from Dentophobia - Fear of dentists, used to have to get knocked out with IV valium for just general dental work like a filling. But I've conquered it over the years and now I'm OK. I've found Thai dentists to be very gentle - especially if you warn them beforehand that you are very scared, plus I tell them I need a stonger blast of pain killer than the average Joe. But I had a filling redone in patts a couple of weeks ago and it was a piss of piss. Years ago that would have been a huge traumatic day for me, shitting myself with fear.

Thanks for the info mate. To be honest dentistry is pretty cheap at home. Had considered whitening though which obviously isn't available on the nhs. Have really sensitive teeth however and reading this has saved me days of pain lol. I am not that vain lol.

I was there last month. The day before you posted your question (but not checking this forum until I got home now).

Teeth cleaned, checked and whitened (LED) for 3999 Baht.

Good job done, quickly and efficiently.

Had a male dentist this time. Previously had Dr. Cherry or another woman.

I've used the dentist on the 4th floor of Central Pattaya. Seems hygienic and professional. I went for a teeth cleaning, my friend went to get his teeth whitened. I'd go for the whitening except I love to drink and eat everything, so couldn't go a few days not doing that stuff.

As for the dentist, I'll be going back there later this month for another cleaning. My only complaint from last time was that they weren't particularly sympathetic towards my discomfort.

Is it not true though, after the treatment you cannot eat certain things after the treatment?

Holy sheet, that is well expensive! I suppose us in the UK are lucky with our NHS. I can't remember the max you have to pay for work if you do it as a one treatment programme but it is around £300.

I had 2 root canals 2 crowns and 3 fillings last year I think it was around £280.

Yep only 3 prices about £18 for check up and very basic treatment like scale and polish £45 ish quid for fillings etc (regardless of how many) and about £280 for extensive work. Yet still brits have this done in Thailand ??????

I had 3 implants and crowns from Dr. Cherry last May/August.  I'll be getting them checked in October when  I am back in Pattaya.  The three teeth cost me half of what I was quoted in Los Angeles, the work was well done and I am happy with the results.  I figure it cost me $3500, and the $3500 that I saved by doing the work in Pattaya paid for the 2 trips to have the work done and since I was going to go party there anyway, it was a major win for me!

I had work done there myself recently. A check up, 2 x-rays, 5 white fillings and a scale & polish = 3450 baht.

Fantastic price and first class service. I couldn't fault them and would recommend them highly.

I even wrote them a thank you card!

Whats the procedure to get this much work done...will they entirely gas you out for it?  Is it an option?
