All Seasons Steak Buffet

I fancied a bit of a falang food pigout on Sunday so took a walk round Central Festival to see what was on offer. Came across All Seasons Steak Buffet on I think the 7th floor.

The score is that you pay 259 baht (+ 10% service) to eat and drink as much as you want within a 1.5 hour time period. I took a look inside first and the food looked fresh and there seemed to be a good mixture of falang and Thai customers so I gave it a go.

First off is to select some meat and / or fish for them to cook to order. You take a plate with your table number on it up to the counter, select what you want and how you want it cooked and they get on with it. In the meantime you can tuck into the starters which consist of a choice of soups, salads, mini pizza slices, mini brochettes, large prawns etc etc.

Once cooked the meat and / or fish is bought to your table. At the counter there is a choice of side dishes such as chips, baked potatos, salad etc as well as plenty of sauces to put on the food. All soft drinks are free although there is beer and wine available at extra charge if desired.

If you have room for a second course there are pasta, noodle, seafood and a couple of Thai dishes on offer. They are constantly being replaced / topped up so I don't think anything is standing around for too long. Desert is either fruit or a choice of ice cream. I can not remember if there is hot tea or coffee on offer.

The mamamsan was extremely helpful and funny when explaining how it all worked. All in all I thought it a good deal for the money. There were a couple of 'larger' gentlemen having their fill when I was there so if you are on the larger side I am sure that you will find it even better value.

No, if you are looking for a big high quality steak then best go to a speciality steak house. The name is actually a bit deceptive in that steaks are certainly not their speciality. Saying that, I chose one piece of chicken and four small pieces of steak. They looked a little bit fatty but were very tasty and cooked just the way I asked them to do so.

As is anything on the 7th floor :D

Sounds good actually. I'm a big fan of the food hall down in the basement also.

That is what I thought until I virtually passed out after three beers one day.... Realised that I had gone two days without eating anymore than some som tam that I stole from was given by a BG so thought it may be time to line my stomach a bit

This place caught my eye today. I have put it in my little storage area in my brain for a place to visit at some stage. 259 Baht for all you can eat is good value. It was not very clear but I think this price is a special and the normal price is 459 Baht or something close.

At 259 baht I would go back, at 459 I would think twice. There is a compulsory 10% service charge on top so if I was going to pay 500 baht for a meal I would rather go to a specialist steak house / pizzeria etc.

This place is on the 5th floor of Central, towards the beach end of the complex. A group of 6 of us ate there the other night and won't be back!

There is little ambience in the restaurant, it is an eat & run set up with 90 minutes allowed to dine. Each diner is given a plate with a table number on a small peg - do not lose the peg! There is a selection of appetisers (pizza, french fries, soup) and a range of vegetables/salad/pasta. For the main course the offerings consisted of 5-6 meats to be selected and cooked. There was steak, pork, chicken, porkribs and fish. The steak is very poor quality and could do with an application of meat tenderiser. When the meat is cooked it is returned to the table, the waiters have no idea who has which plate - my carefully selected lean ribs & chicken were no where to be seen. The spinach bore no resemblance to my favourite vegetable, apart from being green. Most of our plates were returned with meats half eaten.

There is soft drink & ice cream included in the B259++ price tag, the hygiene surrounding the ice cream was very poor. The clincher for the place was they only offer 2 beers, Singha or Leo. They also have red & white wine by the glass - chilled cab/sav was barely drinkable.

Our bill totalled B3500, which could have been much better spent on some decent food elsewhere.

Sorry to hear that you did not have a good experience there. They market themselves more on price than ambiance and as you say, it is eat and go rather than relax and enjoy the surroundings. Surprised about the hygiene though as when I went everything was spotless though I guess places change.

I enjoyed eating here as well being solo. I noticed a lot of Thai eating here and decided to eat local. They gave me a tour and it looked decent. The only thing that worried me was that they let you pick out your own meat with the provided utensils and other people are using them as well, which may lead to food sickness. After using the utensils, then I went to the bathroom to wash my hands. Handling raw meat should be handled by the workers with gloves. I ate there and did not get sick. The steak is really just strips of beef. I think it is well worth the price and it is a decent place that wasn't bad at all. I went for the 259b + 10% special. I also think the basement is the best deal for food in the Central Festival.

I ate here on one of the very first days the place was open and I have to say that I left feeling very disappointed. While there was a decent variety of seafood (unshelled prawns and cheesy spinach mussels) on offer at the buffet as opposed to somewhere like Sizzler in Central, the quality of the meat was terrible.

I grabbed a selection of meat and gave it to them to cook without requesting how it should be cooked however I assumed medium is what I would get back. The problem is that the cuts of meat are so thin that they can cook very very quickly. What I received back was beyond well done, it was inedible. Many other dishes were also very "meh" especially the pizza.

For a place that markets itself as a steak buffet, you would think they would know how to prepare a steak without cooking the life out of it. I was going to say something to the Mamasan but I did not bother.

    • For those that don't know, I did Friday meetings before many years ago,  I feel like we are missing a regular meeting for members,  I am aware guys meet at PA affiliated bars. But I want to start meeting people again, I'm inviting the guys following my YouTube also.

The meetings is a chance to get to meet each other,  I plan to be at every meeting, I also have Dean from Dive bar that has offered to help out with a crawl after.
The meetings will be  Monday  6 pm - 8 pm each week.  (The improvised bar crawl will commence at 8 p.m.  Dean will make his own plans for that.)

Due to low numbers of people in town, I will start the meetings in our bars to help our girls and managers, please check back often incase things are changed.  I will be sharing the love around town later, but Soi 6 is first on my list (including bars that are friendly competition)
If bar owners want us to have a meeting at their bar,  they need to have a minimum of 10 girls.  I'm not dragging people to empty bars for favours.
Please help us invite other members, it takes a while to get momentum.
