try to avoid using the air-con too much, get the body used to the heat

avoid cotton type t-shirts, the fabric in shirts can make a big differance..

also cold showers are nice, but just make things worse

I'm sure I read somewhere you sweat less if you eat hot/spicy food.

Yes,I have read that as well although not sure how true it is.

Sounds obvious but regular exercise that tones your body a bit will go a long way to helping the problem. Also light clothing as mentioned above.

certain dry is a deodorant you can buy that you put on at night before you sleep and it prevents excessive sweating the next day,

i tried it and it works great.

after a couple nights of use you will notice the difference.

hard to get in the uk tho but easy to get on ebay with shipping.

I work hard to support those on benefits! :Banghead2:

Exercise and loose weight, not being nasty but the less weight you carry the less you will sweat.

At a base level this is true, I weigh 110 kilo and irrespective as to the formation of that weight I sweat. I am reasonably fit for my age and carry little excess but my body mass is such that it generates heat. Muscle will do that just as much as fat.

This is true but losing a few extra pounds of fat means you have less to carry, which means your heart has less work to do. The OP did say he was fat.

Lack of water, intake of caffeine, smoking and alcohol, stress, and change in temp usually increases sweating. Welcome to LOS...

Going from air con room to beer bar to have a smoke and drink, while being overweight will pump out sweat faster then most things. Spicy foods boost your metabolism and heart rate which starts your body to sweat so eating spicy foods makes you sweat.

Don't use air con, take room temp showers, drink green tea when you can, eat complex carbohydrates (oranges, cabbage, etc..) instead of simple carbs (candy / sodas / processed suragr / breads / white flour etc..), pick up some loose fitting clothes, walk moderately when you are strolling up and down Soi 6 / 7 / 8... take a moment to feel up a lady or two to relax and slow down...

Unfortunately, I was at 147.50 kilo before, now 83.50... I still sweat... BUT I love the girls to use the cold rag to cool me off...

solly but i dont buy the overweight bit !

i,m the opposite of skinny and can usually handle the heat better than my more normal sized friends

I will say that eating a big meal in the evening usually increases my chances of sweating , if its excessively hot and i know i will be mostly at beer bars i will eat a smaller dinner and snack later in the evening

I found that keeping aircon as high as you can manage it helps to acclimatise to the heat and therefore helps to sweat less.

Sounds like a small, efficient and durable active personal heat exchanger would go down well for a lot of people.

Trouble is that to be effective you would probably need to be encased in some type of insulated suit ...

But a full body casing is gonna look kinda dorky to the ladies so how can it be made to look attractive... ah I know and shall start work on a prototype immediately!

U used to sweat very much, I tried every deodorant I could find. I was sweating even if I didnt move at all. It was very embarrassing for me, and I always had sanitary towels under my armpits. Once I asked in a pharmacy, if they had something that would help me. He went downstairs and made a thick mixture with 20% Aluminium chloride and put it into a deodorant bottle. I should shower in the evening, apply it and then go to sleep. After three nights my armpits stayed dry even after sports (i could not believe it). Now I am applying it once a week and it still works. I can not tell how happy I am with this solution, because it had been a real burden my whole life.

but be careful, never apply it if you still have normal deodorant on your skin! It will burn as hell!

I have a friend who is a woman professional and she had Botox injected into her sweat glands and it helped tremendously!

This product changed my life. Put it on at night and the next morning you'll sweat no more. After a few months of consistent use you'll find you won't need to use it as often. Went to a few different doctors, all said it was perfectly safe.

http://www.certaindri.com

You can find it in any US drug store or on ebay.

Alternatively you could look for a product in Thailand with the active ingredient: Aluminum Chloride.

Where I come from in Oz, summer humidity is quite often in the 90%+ range, when I was in my teens at High School I used to sweat so much that I stained the hell out of my school shirts, to the point they could no longer be cleaned and needed replacing a couple of times a year.

My parents got the shits with that and went looking for a solution, a doctor put me on Kelp tablets and the problem reduced dramatically.

So a natural solution, maybe, to your problem, hunt around a and see if you can get some and give it a try.

I'm a big sweater so I buy shirts and other articles of clothing that allows sweat to evaporate quicker than pure cotton material, which tends to stay wet and soggy in Thailand's warm climate.

All of the major sporting brands such as Nike make t shirts and clothing with a fabric blend that evaporates sweat faster from the material and keeps you feeling cool and light. Under Armour also has that sort of clothing in polo's. Target also has shirts that keep you comfortable at a cheaper price than the big name brands.

I'm only 12 stone/75 kilos. The body sweats don't bother me....Its the bald head sweats that are the problem!

You'd think after 20 years working in red hot kitchens I'd be immune to the heat over there but oh no...

Sit at a bar...sit at a restaurant... my head pours with sweat!

The good thing is all the BGs and waitresses think its hilarious and one will always come over with one of those cold cloth things from the fridge.....now they're a good cure for the 'bald head sweats' anyway!

Sweat is produced by sweat glands. These glands are located in the skin in various parts of the body.Try to keep your skin dry, use antibacterial soap. Drink more water, Drink green tea at night,Wear loose clothing.Eat food that is fat free, avoid oily, spicy and hot food.

Im only 9 and a half stone and i still sweat when i go to Pattaya. I use powder instead of a deodorant when i go and now i dont sweat at all when im there. Spray your t-shirt with a load of deodorant before you go out and wear a nice aftershave too so your smelling nice. Did the job for me anyway.
