The Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit is only 3200 baht on weekends (Fri,Sat,& Sun) through Aug (at least). If your budget goes to $100, here's the place to spend it. wj

The offer is still on. Now available for any day. I'm not sure how far in the future you can book it but I just booked for November and it still offered me this rate.

They've extended it to early Dec anyway. Like I said earlier - just weekends. wj

Booked for upcoming trip for a few days and will give review with some pictures. I used starpoints + cash. I really am impressed with every Starwood property that I've been to.

This is the best hotel I've stayed in on Sukhumvit, others I've stayed in are Landmark, Park Plaza, Jasmine Exec Suites, Majestic Grande.

Stayed here for 2 nights recently and since I am SPG Gold they put me on the 34th floor, but the pictures look identical to the room I received. I liked the nice location on Asok BTS and near Cowboy. I found the room and bed to be heavenly and the staff were excellent as a 5 star should be. I never ate at the place since the prices were outrageous (usual Starwood property prices). I used points+cash promotion. It made it more affordable. Would recommend for place to stay, but not if on a tight budget.

Try Conrad instead and use the BTS to Nana and Cowboy. The Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit is to old, nice pics by the way.

:Hello1: G

I love the Conrad, I buy it up every time Hilton has a sale, but the SGS is quite a bit better IMO. Conrads are usually much better than Sheratons. Not in this case. The SGS is a 'luxury collection hotel' and done to a higher standard. Yeah it's old and ugly, but only on the outside. The breakfast spreads are as good as I've seen anywhere. Great gym and the pool is remarkable. I have no shame, but you can drag your whores straight from Sukhumvit,(passing no one), to the elevator to your room, bypassing the lobby. wj

Sorry, only eaten there. My knowledge is 2nd hand, but as I remember reading, 1 of the wings suck. I've only stayed down that way once, at the Royal Orchid. Check out FlyerTalk. Folks who stay there a lot, have definite opinions on the best options down by the Chao Praya. Try Trip Advisor too. If you want a deal by the river, I can get you a 710 sqft riverview balcony suite at the Lebua for $100 on Jetsetter if we move quick. LINK: http://www.lebua.com/en/lebua-at-state-tower/hotel-images/# Good deal, but not spectacular. I think you can usually get it for $150 or so. Deal is on for 2 or 3 more days. Prices good through June. I'll get a $25 credit for signing you up, if you make a purchase. I got the Conrad and the Banyan Tree last year for $80/nite (all in) through them. PM me your e-mail if you want to do the do. Happy Birthday Bruddah wj
