Chiang Mai

I'm planning on going to Chiang Mai in Sept or Oct and although I've been there before I'm interested in finding new places to see and hang out at. I've done Number 1 Bar and around that area. How about other areas of the city where they have go-go's and beer bars. Would appreciate any info you can pass along. Thanks in advance.

I live in Chiang Mai. CM is a nice place to mix pay with play. Don't

bring a girl with you to Chiang Mai. No need and your gonna kick

yourself for doing so. Bring a girl with you to Phi Phi or Krabi but

not CM. Text sinkorSwim he lives there too. Remember, "Bubbles and

Spicey" you could stay at the Porn Ping, Dungtawan, Imperial Mai Ping,

Royal Lanna, Chantra Court or any hotel around the night market. I

remember posting about CM already, you might want to do a search. What

you are more likely to find in CM that you aren't in places like

pattaya are normal TG out with friends looking to score. I've seen this

to many times... the hair saloon or office party is out at bubble disco

for a fun night...Looking to let loose and have some fun. You score and

have a true GFE with a kiss goodbye in the A.M. as payment. It's just

so very easy to meet normal girls, not BG, in Chiang Mai. Then you get

cool hangouts on Nimmeroonie road, all the river walk area of-

riverside, brasserie etc... Brasserie has a good house band that plays

inside around 10:30 or 11pm each night. You could check out Dallabaa

for great thai food...really cool place! CM is one of the coolest

places on earth. You can fly in easily, land a hotel and your off for

the front nine in under 1.5 hours. With two good malls of Airport plaza

(close to airport) and Central by Huay Kwai road. You have several

massage parlours around town, a handfull of gogo's well 3 main ones.

You have several beer bar areas. Cafe houses, karoeke's, night clubs

and with schools everywhere around town your gonna find something you

like. However, if you get bored and it's 9am and your ready for action

you could visit a fuck house. Gotta know exactly where they are...

you'll never figure it out!

Most thai massage houses around town open at 9 or 10am...In the select

ones where extras are offered one can start early with a massage and

tug for 500 baht all-inclussive for 2 hours of stress relief or full

service for 8 or 900 baht depending on neg skills. Then hit the night

market area and starbucks for a iced mocha while out check emails by

Mcdonalds before heading to Fuji in Pantip Plaza (CM has one too) for

lunch. Catch a tuk tuk to Gymkatta club for a round of golf for 800

baht...inclussive of clubs, caddy and drinks. After the course hit the

shower and relax in the club house. If staying in the Dawgtawan head

back to the the fourth floor sauna and pool for the rest of the

afternoon. Relax in the hot tub before heading to the room for a

change...then off to the top floor Chineese restaurant...it's good!

After your fill is had drop to the street level for drinks over in the

Imperial Mai Ping beer bar complex. Gogos near by open around 7-9pm...

all are within walking distance! If you must catch a tuk tuk...your a

fat fuck not ready for sexual content tonight. If you don't find

company in the ping bar complex, any gogo's or in any of the street

beer bars on the walk up to Spotlight then around 11:30 head to one of

the discos nearby. If you can't find company at the disco's by clossing

head over to Spicey after 2am for late night after hours until 4 or

5am...

The next day sleep late with your tirak before ordering roomservice by

noon. Drop to the street cross it and get a head massage and a shave

from the shop close to 7-11. Head up to the pool and relax with your

tirak all day. That night walk the night bazzar and do some shopping

head over to Brassarie or good view for dinner and music. The beer is

always cheap. That night loose your Tirak at bubbles and find another.

The next day do an elephant trip, snake farm, butterfly stuff etc...

CM has some awesome temples inside the old city check them out! Hit Dui

Suthep with a tuk tuk dude or red truck. Catch a movie at airport plaza

and try and meet a TG while people watching. Hit the beer bars and

clubs again...so on and so forth.

What I've found fun is walking all of Chiang Mai. I like to exercise

and have walked almost every soi around town...it's a great way to find

all sorts of teasure. The hidden places and unique shops I've found is

mind bending. I've found truely amazing treasure

I have a Problem..... I just can't decide if its a good problem or a bad problem...

Spicy is the only late club so all the FLers go there at 2 am. As does everybody else from sexpats, sextourists, backpackers, and students.

But mostly Freelancers. 500b will get them for the rest of the night.

I did not see a Chiang Mai Bar on Soi 6 yesterday when I went down the street did it just open today would appreciate picture of the girls there if you have them. Are all of your posts put in the wrong parts of the forum? If you were a newbie I would give a little latitude but WTF has this got to do with Soi 6.

Whatever happened to the Kampaeng Din knocking shops? Are they still around?

p.s. The weather in February should still be pleasantly cool.

Is 6 nights enough there to see the sights and sample some nightlife? I'm not after any p4p there but wouldn't mind trying to score with some locals.

I've been in Chiang Mai for a month now. I'd be lying to you if I said I'd done half of the things there are to do here, but on the other hand, 6 days is plenty if you just want to hit the major stuff.

The big attractions for tourists are Doi Suthep, Elephant Camp, Tiger Kingdom, Flight of the Gibbons, and the 'old city' as a whole. Loi Kroh road is packed with all the mongering you could want, every night, so fit that into your schedule whenever you like, finding a LT to go with you on any of those things will be easy and inexpensive.

I highly recommend renting a motorbike for a day and riding (with your TG) up Doi Suthep to the temple overlooking the city. The ride is just the right length, beautiful every inch, and the temple atop is a fantastic sight. Supposedly a fragment of Buddha's shoulder bone is inside the chedi, if you wonder why, when you get there, none of the Buddha images look deserving of such an extravagant temple.

Elephant Camp is fun, if you like elephants. Bit of a show, you get to ride them, the elephants kiss you, etc. Again, fun with a TG in tow, but lame if you're alone. Tiger Kingdom is similar, and enjoyable if you really want pictures of you curling up with a full grown tiger. It can be depressing, though, if you get the feel that the tigers are doped up to make them more docile (I get that feeling).

I haven't been on Flight of the Gibbon's yet, but 3000 baht is what everyone charges, and the tour companies schedule for you to be there about 3 hours. It is a zip-line tour of the Jungle canopies. I like to think it's pretty amazing, but as I said, I've not yet gone.

You'll have enough time to fit any two of the things I've mentioned (plus mongering) into a single day without trouble.

The Old City is surrounded by a moat, so it isn't too big (less than 2.5 square km), but there is so much inside of it that it would take weeks to see everything. They claim there are over 100 temples inside the moat/walls. Tons of shops, bars, temples, guesthouses. If you're planning to monger a lot, stay outside of the old city on/near Loi Kroh Rd. If mongering will only be a small part of your visit, stay in the old city. Loi Kroh Rd is just across the moat, but the things to walk around and see in the Old City are far superior.

One last thing... there's a night bazaar near the Ping River (east of the old city, north of Loi Kroh Rd) that's good for a stroll, but if you really want to enjoy the Chiang Mai night markets, wait until Sunday night and go to Walking St inside the old city.

Sorry, you said no p4p, but yes to locals.

I don't know too much about the discos here, aside from the fact that Spicy is the only one allowed to stay open late. Truth is, though, half the girls (if not more) at Spicy are p4p who have just gotten off work without scoring a LT. If you go out to Spicy and plan on bringing a girl home, make sure you lock everything up. Don't get me wrong, you might meet a nice local girl who has never touched p4p in her life, but you might also meet a freelancer who's planning to charge you 1 laptop more than you expected.

Zoe's is a good place to meet both farangs and Thais, and is also open late (at least until 3 every time I've been there). It's a collection of bars playing various types of dance music, with the Reggae bar being the most popular. Before Songkran it was about 70% farang, so you'll have a bit of competition on meeting TGs, however there's a VERY good chance you could meet a farang girl, and many of them there are quite attractive. Low season in Chiang Mai starts the moment that the water from Songkran has dried, and now that Songkran is gone, it's possible the ratio of farang to Thais has changed, but I haven't been by to check.

Cheers. Have you ever been Bubbles disco? Supposed to be another good one to score in.

Also do you know if the Kawila boxing stadium is back up and running yet or are they still rebuilding after the fire? I heard it's one of the few places in CM where you can see real Muay Thai title fights.

Sorry, I don't really do the disco thing anymore. I read somewhere that Bubbles shut down for a bit, but it may be open again.

So far as Muay Thai is concerned, I've never been into that, either. However, I have walked by two places that have always had fights whenever I was there. One is on the Old City-side of the moat near the Thapae Gate, the other is nestled in a bed of beer bars on the south side of Loi Kroh Rd. I don't know their names to be able to tell you if either are the one you're talking about.

I think if you want to find the "fuck houses" in CM you should ask the Thais, most won't cater to tourists at all.

You could also just go to Sayuri for a bang.

Also, I haven't heard anyone mention bubbles in over a year, I don't think it exists anymore - can someone confirm/deny this?

Yeah, I've been to Spicy a couple times in the last week, and the place is crawling with freelancers, as well as some regular Thai girls who just like to go out and dance. The freelancers make no secret of the fact that they're looking for a guy. A lot of young farangs (men and women) go here, too, but if you're in the mood for a farang chick, I think you'd have better luck at Zoe.

Action in Chiang Mai is very limited. It usually is a couple of girls that come to town and soon find out that BKK and the other resort towns offer a lot more "buck for the bang." You can cruise the small bars and find a lot of willing girls and it can be fun but it is nothing like BKK or Pattaya.

I like Star 6 for a gogo because the girls are fun and up front. (Blow you under the table.) But evidently you should check if it is a real girl that is doing the blowing.

Not quite true, its "Not very Limited", but yes I agree that it is not a Pattaya. I was there last weekend and there is enough there to have fun and a few hundred girls to choose from. The place only livens up at 8.00pm and many bars shut at 12.00 midnight, although some are open till 2.00am

Start with Loi Kroh Road, there has to be a good dozen bars at the top end with some 80 plus girls, then more Bars (with Girls) and massage places 200m down from the Moon Mueang Road intersection. Some bars at the top end are open till 2.00am

Then, in the Entertainment Complex (500m down Loi Kroh)where the Muay Thai boxing is and another 15 plus bars (maybe 100 girls).I barfined a girl from Chang Rai BF 500 and gave her TB1500 for all night and till 9.00am morning, and she was wrapped.

Then,on your right 300 down Loi Kroh Road from the Moon Mueang Road intersection is a small side street with the No 1 Bar (No1 Bar has 10 girls in it all can be bar fined)TB 500 for the bra fine, didn't test the girls but I think probably TB 1000-1500 LT. Closes at 2.00am

Then, there is SPOTLIGHT AGOGO on Moon Mueang Road (8-10 girls mostly sixes but 2 x eights, BF 600 TB, ST 1500 and LT 2500) Closes at 2.30am

Most girls are 6's but did see a few 8's and the odd 10.

:001_Thank_You5: pipoz4444,

Putting CM on my list for my next LOS trip. Sounds like enough 'action' for me and a good home base before and after a tour of Issan.
