I'm looking to book flights in August and the prices are very expensive, over a thousand euro.

I'm used to overpaying for flights at Christmas time but I've never flown to thailand around August before.

Does anybody know if its always that expensive around that time?

Are prices likely to come down?

ive always considered ireland as being quite expensive to fly from, might be worth getting a seperate flight from ireland to heathrow then flying from there. as for prices from heathrow i was searching around today to see what funds ive got to set a side and cheapest i could find was around £470 all the way up to £700. but this was flying october time.

eva air has a flight on then direct from heathrow at around £570 which isnt that bad a price considering its a direct flight. with some stop overs costing around £700.

hope that might give you an idea or some more options

as for prices coming down its doubtful, we are into the stage now where everyones playing the global warming card trying to get more money from diffrent modes of transport

todays £700 flight could be £1600 next year.

Cheers. I checked flights from Heathrow and it is a bit cheaper.

Do prices ever get cheaper closer to the date?

Last Christmas I booked about 2 months before I flew out but I think I checked and the prices had gone down before I flew out

i was able to get a flight with Chinas Airlines for under 950 euro in mid July,

were under 700 for June but im sorta rigid with my hol tims i fear.

the flight i booked was 790, then i was gonna book it, the next day it had

gone up to 1150, luckily i got one for 950 leavin1 day earlier!

i cant see them coming down too much but check various airlines every day

and you may get lucky

I had been keeping an eye on prices with etihad for august flights there for a while and they had been a lot more expensive than that.

I didnt think the prices would drop
