Anyone Use Priceline ?

Hi like the title says , i'm thinking of putting in a bid from LAX to BKK the only thing is that you dont get to see the flights details such as layovers and such. They automatically purchase the ticket at the price you requested if an airline accepts so there are no refunds.

 

I could care less what time the plane leaves but I sure as hell dont want a 8hr layover lol.

 

If anyone has used this service before please let me know and please share your experience.

priceline seems to be for us-departures only, so i can't check it out :/

I have used Priceline before for domestic flights. It does work as advertised, but you really do run the risk of getting an odd routing with longer lay overs. I flew Denver to Chicago, but was routed through Pittsburgh, and had a 2.5 hour layover, so what would have been a 2 hour direct flight wound up taking 7 hours, so I could save less then $100. So for me it was not worth it.

 

Yes you are right, if they accept your bid, you are charged for the flight, and then you find out your routing and layover times.
