I'm probably booking a flight to Bangkok this week and I will be in Pattaya at June 9th. Any ideas where can I stay for about first week?

What I want this place to be:

- low price (max 700-800 baht per night)

- close to Walking Street

- no guest fee (I don't know if that is possible?)

I would also like to make a reservation via internet/phone, since I will probably have to put my address at tourist visa application.

I stayed at he Armageddon Guest House in LK Metro area, not close to Walking Street by foot but take a baht bus and maybe 15 minutes away. The Armageddon was priced reasonably and had big rooms, also plenty of things in that area. Keep digging around in the forum and you should find what you're looking for.

Try Secrets on Soi 14, 30 seconds from Walking Street.

Hope you enjoy your trip, ( To be honest if you follow the

The good thing about Pattaya is the cheaper the hotel the less chance of a joiner fee

Secrets is OK, but he'll end up like 90% of them; wake up upstairs, go downstairs, barfine, go upstairs, repeat every day. A young buck would be better off in the jungle.

Peace. :GoldenSmile1:

Canterbury's is a great place for a newbie. Cheap, friendly atmos, nice area. Keith will show him all the cheap bars in New Plaza & the ladyb... :LMFAO:

Then Dave can take him out on one of his naughty sojourns. :LOL2:

Peace. :Evil_Grin2:

Thanks for your recommendations, I was also thinking about Irish Rovers, Max Central Apartments and Pattaya Bay Resort but I am not sure If these are close (max 10min walk) to the Walking Street. The are more expensive then I said I wanted but I will be in Pattaya for 20 days so booking a whole month will cost me less I guess.

Beloved Diamond Beach hotel is in the midst of it all, perfect for newbie. 1400 baht for seaview, get top floor room. Perfect for mongering. Then when you're spent go to the islands to dry out.

Jasmine is on soi BJ, and same same. 1000 baht per night, no seaview, I'll try it out in August. Anyone stayed and has reviews please post.

You won't go far wrong if you get somewhere in LK Metro, there's everything you want there and Walking Street is 10-15 min walk or 5 mins on a Motorbike taxi and 5 minutes home from Walking Street on a baht bus.

There's some very good deals around there and the money you'd save from your budget would get you an extra bargirl.
