sorry i dont know where you can rent one in sisaket or surin but they will be availible, but why not drive up, its a really good drive from pattaya/ bkk up over the mountain way lots to see and plenty of places to stop off.

typical drive hours set off pattaya to surin 6 hours including breaks.

fly set off pattaya well ya 2 hours tobkk, wait 1 hour, fly 1 hour then 1 hour get to hir car etc and drive sisaket gotta be same sort of time i would guess.

not everyones cup of tea but i love it, maybe not for you but if ya want any further info etc just pm me im more than happy to help you plan a trip mate.

or if ya passing soi6 corner bar, im the one sat in there all day pissed, catch me early if you want any sense out of me.

Thanks for this answer, i did not think about driving because for going i will be alone so it's not so fun alone !

Infact problem is not so much going to coz have plane, bus or train.

The problem is once arrived ;)without a motorbike or a car : you'r dead !

see u maybe one day on corner.

I also recommend renting a car and driving there. What's it matter if you drive alone? I wouldn't be concerned about it not being "fun" be more concerned about focusing on the road and traffic.

thanks for your answer,

ok not "fun" but boring ;)

Did u know some good place for rent a car in pattaya ?

I have never found it boring driving around Si Sa Ket Province. Just keeping your eyes on everything that goes on on the road is enough to keep anyone interested. It is even more interesting on a motorcycle.

Not possible to rent motobikes in Sisaket as far as I know we tried a while back with no luck ended up borrowing one from some family of the mrs.

There should be a car rental place here same place as the travel agent (h9) on this map at coordinates F7.

Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

you can rent a car from Surin and drive to Sisaket, its not far at all.

reliable fully insured car hire you can trust when it comes to service reliability and prices.

good luck.

Anyone have road / highway numbers from Pattaya to Si Sa Ket. I think it's Highway # 1 from BKK then onto highway # 2, then # 226 to surin etc.

Buy a map. The trip through Kabin Buri to Chok Chai is scenic through the mountains. I also like to go across to Sa Kaeo, and then north. Some car hire places will have GPS available, such as escape rentals in soi dianna inn. Which ever way you go, you can't lose. Beautiful country. I am forever stopping to take photos.

But , if you are keen to go from Bangkok, Highways !, 2, and 24, and 214. It's hard to find a hotel by just looking. Do some research.

I know this is an old thread but I am heading to sisaket in 2 weeks. Hiring a car from bkk airport.

Any tips for the journey or must see places?
