Fellow BM's,

Thinking of staying at the Chuba Hut Resort located on Soi Buakaow on my next visit to Patts and was wondering if any BM's had stayed there recently and what they thought of it ie: standard of the rooms, facilities etc?

Hiya,

Yeh that's the one I meant. What did I say - Jaba Hut?

Only it's Chaba Hut Resort not Chuba. :001_Thank_You5:

I haven't stayed there but I had an apartment on the edge of the resort and, for being more or less straight out onto Soi Buakhow, it looked pretty quiet and a nice place to be. Their wi-fi seemed pretty good too - until they put the security on lol.

They looked to be doing some renovations 2-3 years ago so you need an up to date report.

Have you found their website HERE - it looks like rates start at 700 baht Apartment/ 1000 baht Studio (and up). For a longish stay I expect you could get a deal, but nothing beats being on the ground and standing in reception.

Maybe get DP or Bagel to check it out for you - they're nearly next door and could check the rooms and do a deal for you?

Deano, yes I did book the Chaba Hut Resort it ticked all the right boxes for me. I usually stay around the Pattaya/Jomtien rd area but always ended hanging around the Soi Buakaow area. Also the Chabe Hut was recommended by a few of my mates and BM's and when I enquired the staff were really friendly and helpful!

I have stayed there for a month back in march it was great

the location, the pool.pool bar room s good aswell also the secruity good at night never had a problem however there is 4 types of accommodation in there

No1 dont stay in the old part there rooms close to the road small noisy and not clean ( these are the ones when you walk in on the left before you get to the pool and recption area,

No2 the new build rooms on the left as you walk by the pool are good very clean serviced daily big rooms 6ft beds safe in wardrobes etc worth the money fully secure with a key to room and a door tag for the building entry 1 stayed in room 101a couldnt fault it

sorry if you have a pool facing room you also have a balcony and the sun allday at the back in the shade and no balcony

No3 theres studios like a small hut type monopoly houses ok but not worth the money

No4 same as no3 but bigger and more expensive

i would stay there again

hope this helps

Thanks for the info flynn, I was booked in the Pink Studio but have since changed to the rooms in the new block overlooking the pool. I swapped after being advised by fellow BM's and my friend who stayed in a Pink Studio for 2 nights, he said the Pink Studios are shabby and tired looking and need of refurbishment!

I am not sure about the Pink Apartments but I was told the Pink Apartments are bigger but not sure about the quality.

mcfcl,

The Pink Apartments are the rooms in the new block, the ones overlooking the pool (back of new block)have balcony's. I am staying a the Pink Apartment with balcony over looking the pool, I have been told the Junior Suites and Huts are not worth the extra money.

last month. june...

Hi there,

Thats a great pic of the lovely pool there Flynn!!!

Have stayed at "Chaba the hut" resort few times & would defo reccomend it to guys but stay in the new apartment bulding rooms as new and much nicer and spacious than other rooms.

I paid 900bt i think a year ago but was only 6 days.

Dont bother with the breakfasts as very basic & you can eat opposite at Cafe Pittini or Robins which are much beter.

Great location & an oasis in soi buakow!!!

Cheers 4 now,

Hi

Could you tell me if the pool is guest friendly ?

Don't know for sure, but I think it is.

I emailed them earlier and got reply about the prices in the new building, also asked if there is a special rate if stay long period:

The rate is 1000 baht / day on the low season and 1500 baht on hight season.

The hight season start at 1st of October to 28th of February. Normally we have monthly rate and 2 weeks rate.

  • 3 weeks later...

I love this place, I've known it for years. Unfortunately, the new rooms are over my budget in high season and, as has been said, the old rooms near the road are old & tired.

I often go here for a swim late afternoon. As a non resident you pay a fee, used be 50bht, then they put it up just err, slightly ----- its now 100bht!

If booking a room suggest book for 2 people, that way should get the guest using the pool free.

thinking of staying at chaba resort jan31 2011 for 1 month at pink apts. been to pattaya many times and love soi bukhaow.on website they say 900baht inc american brakfast urg. e.mailed them reply was 1000 baht. told them there website said 900 baht. after a bit of time negoiating with mr da they offered me pink apts with balcony but without b/fast for 800 baht. i have agreed this price.never staying at chaba before i am concerned what others are saying regards pink apts at chaba. some are saying they are the new apts overlooking pool but when i e.mailed mr da i was told these apts were 1500 or 1300 without b/fast . others are saying they are the old apts to the left of the car park when you walk into the resort and are shabby and run down. can anyone out there tell me the truth before i send them a deposit for my booking. anyone stayed at pink apts ( help ). please tell me what they are like. cheers newbee from geordieland.

The new Block is not on the website yet, but here are some photos of the rooms there.

Low season 1000 baht, but book without breakfast (better across the road) 900 baht.

The new 'A' block has 5 floors but no lift, so watch what room you book.

I have taken back 2 and 3 to my room, and we were all able to use the pool without any extra costs (ether for the room or the pool). They charge 50 baht to use the pool only if you are not staying there. Usually people from the nearby guest houses on Soi Boekhow......
