Fingers crossed with all the grief in Bangkok with the Red shirts I will be coming to Pattaya for my 5th visit in June, I have never been to Phuket so am going to have 3/4 nights over there so just thought I would ask you guys for some advice:

1. Taxi to Patong beach - Average price of a meter taxi

2. Favorite Bars / GoGo's

3. ST / LT prices. I know this question depends on the venue you meet the lady but again looking for an average. Nornally only ever pay 1000 LT in Pattaya.

Any other info greatly appreciated.

1, From the airport ? Think I paid B 400 but it may have been B 600.

 

2, The go go on the left near the end of Bangla Rd ( not beach end ) had some of the best looking girls I've seen anywhere in Thailand, can't recall the name sorry but it's up some stairs.

 

3, Girls are greedy in Patong ! B 2000 and up for LT but depends how desperate they are and how good your haggling skills are.

airport to patong 600 baht

 

im a beer bar man me self but i do know the go go bars in patong are shyte (not a patch on pattaya)

 

beer bar tg or fl 500 st or 1000 lt .... dont know about go go girls

 

 

 

great bar for people watching is the blue lotus in bangla rd .... get a beer sit out the front and take it all in

 

just so your aware patong is no where near as full on as pattaya , but there is still plenty of action ...

 

i like patong because the beach is far far better than pattaya .....1st pic patts 2nd patong

If you like disco's than you have to go to Tiger Disco,its really good and nice disco,good music if you like Techno en stuff like that...never pay more than 1000bath LT there,and allot of stunners there...but not so many 3holers as in Pattaya

Also take a look at the beach by day,many ST girls also

Walk out of the airport and turn right to the official taxi rank - 450 baht......... the other drivers at the entrance will be asking 550.

Bars under Tiger Disco are good - for Discos try Tiger or Hollywood, both on Bangla Road.

As suggested above Blue Lotus for people watching...... also parrot Bar on Bangla - if you go there speak to Som, and say Barney said hello would you!

phucket ok,nice for water,beach stuff,prices more than patts

i do ,2 night bangers,then 7 days phucket,then 7 days koh samui,then fly in to patts,5 nights there,then 2 nights bangers and home,nice little combo for me,save up all my holls at work ,and go for it

james bond island is nice too

yellow submerine is a mad few hours,see the under water stuff

i had the yorkshire inn hotel,by the fbi disco side of the road

guest friendly,lovely full english break fast

english boss,with a stunner of a thai wife

she so cute ,i had a boner ,just order my food,was mad

she smelt so good too,he a lucky man indeed

i allways stay there ,per trip

can hire bikes too,keep out on back lane ,cheap

rear entrance to pool and garden

you like phucket,but if use to pattaya prices ,you not like it so much

but a nice island ,to explore

taxi from airport to patong about half hour

down main high way ,over a steep hill,down over side,passed a wat,then into the town

lot crashes on that step hill climb,and worse in the rain

lot nice beaches on the sunami side ,kata and karon

got few bars in each town,got taxi mafia there too

so rent a bike,lot easyer and cheaper

i barfined in each town,lot nice girls around

phuket town nice too,can use the local bus

grab a map at the airport,then can plan your exploring

i have rode all over the island on my bike

same as sumui

girls are cute,but not as cheap as patts

patts is over kill for bar girls

so maybe why prices lot cheaper too

samui is dearer than patts too

but exellent for the beach and full moon partys

I spent 2 weeks there in November, had a great time. Stayed in Kata.

 

Taxi mafia controls Phuket, all very expensive. Abt 600 from airport. A good alternative is to rent a bike. I got mine for around 150 a day from a small bike repair shop in Kata, it's on the first beach in Kata, he's on the right about half way to the beach. Bikes are older and a bit beat up but ran fine and less likely to be stolen.

 

I don't remember BF a girl, I found the massage girls a better deal, they'll all go back to your hotel and if it's late they'll spend the nite no extra charge. Usually 1000. YMMV. Also several bars in Patong have free lancers, buddy took one ST think it was less than 1000.

 

I preferred Kata to Patong. Quieter, nicer beach. And plenty of massage and beer bars. Patong is only a 15 minute bike ride. Found a nice hotel on the first beach road, just a few blocks from the beach. This was in November, 1000 a night for 10 nites.

Royal Phawadee Living..I had 3000 baht stolen from my locked safe..I wouldn't recommend anyone stay there.
