walk in rate

Coming to Patts for 12 days in 2 weeks,normally book my hotel well in advance but with the current situation didn't don't want the hassle of having to cancel if it goes tits up again.I will book the first 2 nights probably Tim Boutique or LK metro,does anybody know of hotels of that standard currently doing a good walk in deal at the moment,must be a lot of spare capacity so what is the likelyhood of negotiating a good discount.

I really dislike having to change hotels,pissing about with bags etc when i could be using my time far more constructively,like trying to get rid of last nights LT......

Any info greatly appreciated,e mailed Tim boutique who quoted 1700 baht a nght but don't want to book full stay in case building workspoils my stay.
