getting a girl tested

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys

In town in a couple of weeks from now..Last time I met a girl whom I have kept in touch with since I was last there..

I'm planning on being around quite a while this time and planning a long term GFE with this girl..

What I want is to get her tested for sti's so we can boom boom without condoms..We did so before when I was last there (3months ago) but in hindsight this wasn't my best call to date although I came though with a clean bill so to say..

So anyone got any recommendations as to a clinic and costs involved... Thought about going with her (probably cost double as with falung) or send her alone(half price but can i rely on the result)

Anyone gone down this road before????

Riki

hey mate im not quiet sure where you would go for the tests but i would think the hospital would be your best bet and regarding sending her on her own without you for the test me personaly would not do that because all it would take is for her to give the doctor some baht for a clean bill of health you have to remember mate this is thailand everything can be bought if you have the baht for it so if i was you i would deffnatly go with her for my own peace of mind and just one last thing mate even if you do take her to get the tests done with the hiv test even if that comes back negative i dont think that necassarily means that it is because lets just say that she sleeps with someone the day before you get there for arguments sake without a condom then no hiv is going to show for at least 3 months mate :Dream1:

It is a great idea, but does come with risks. She can still be HIV positive, test negative, and still transmit it. Also if you are not going to be with her 24/ there is a chance that she might do some ST's in between. I suppose that it does cut down the risk some, but there is still a risk.

I am sorry, but I do not know of any over there to provide the service. Do a search, I know I read of places over in Pattaya that do it.

I am a fat kid in a sweet shop, I just cannot choose and want it all.

Your plan does reduce your risk, but it still has risk associated with it (as mentioned in posts above). That is all I will comment on about your risk assessment.

I suggest having STD testing at a hospital. It is more reliable, it is convenient, and additional cost is negligible. I have used Pattaya Memorial hospital. I believe it is cheaper than those a little bit north of it. It off of second road, near soi 7. You have to walk down a little bit of what looks like an alley, because it isn’t directly on second road. You can just have a motorbike taxi take you. The clinic (emergency room) is around on other side of building. Just go in and near the door is a receptionist desk. The girls speak fairly good English, and they have heard it all. Just tell them that you want STD testing. If you girl has been there before, she will have a hospital ID card from them. If not, they’ll fix you up (take an ID). Just stop in, and it doesn’t take that long. Wait a bit, they’ll call you back, escort you down, draw blood, wait a bit (doesn’t take long). You get results and you pay. I can’t remember what it cost… couple hundred baht maybe.

there used to be an sti/std clinic on the road between beach road and second road,as if you going to Walking Street but then follow the road round to 2nd road on the left hand side.

failing that go to bangkok hospital soi 4 expensive when i went 2 years ago and waited an hour for the results, you must tell them exactly what tests you want done as well, nealy shit myself when it came back with a marker in the hepatitis box but then they explained,no it mean you have the inoculation for this, you have the antibodies for fighting this,,wow what a reliefe,i remember getting every shot possible at the docs in uk as it was all free and having to go 3 times for the hep one over about 6 months

you can also now buy home testing kits that are 100% possitive for hiv but have to be done exactly to the instructions for it to work.

Make sure you do the right thing and have yourself tested at the same time.

that should go with out saying, how can you expect the girl to go and you dont.you both have your bit of paper then.

but remember as many people have said on here in various posts you really need to do the hiv test 3 months later aswell to be sure.and unless your with her the whole 3 months 24 hours a day to make sure neither of you do'se anything wrong its worthless.

is that one test worth the possible risk of infection for a few moments pleasure.

Riki: forget the clinics!

Go to a Hospital and be present when you both get your results. In English.

Clinics have been known for hide a positive result for the bf (you). Unlikely a hospital will take that risk. Even you both are negative, there is that 'window' of +- 3 months that might now show on a test.

And BTW std's are frequent here - I lost 2 expats friends last year, others 'only' caught less lethal std's.

Pack it up.

I did HIV, herpes and the range of STDs for both of us at Pattaya Memorial Hospital (just off 2nd Road and Pattaya Klang) and it cost about 6,000 Baht. All done professionally and results available in 1 hour except for herpes which takes 3 days. Just walk in and they will take cf you. In this case you want accurate results and I felt that although a bit costly for Pattaya, the results were accurate. Good for peace of mind if you like BJ, DATY, kissing, etc. One odd thing is that after taking blood they take you into the mens room for when no one is there and you drop everything for the penis culture swab. Would have been funny if someone walked in while she is doing that bit of work.

Common sense is not very common.

There are clinics all over downtown Pattaya with signs in the windows saying fast VD tests & HIV tests. So it's very easy to locate somewhere to do quick tests. I wouldn't be at all concerned about the quality of testing at a clinic compared to a hospital, the tests they use for all types of STD are standardized these days. However it may be faster and more streamlined at a hospital.

Also you have to consider not only the common STDs but the hep viruses as well, B can be transmitted sexually, I believe C as well.
