It's a four star in South Pattaya for 1200 baht............

I've read so many hotel reviews...too much information ...... I'll think I'll just go for it !! ......it can't be COMPLETELY crap and it must have a pool and gym............

Here's the link.........

I've used mystery hotels on wotif in New Zealand a few times........ I never had anything dodgy happen to me.

Its just that a hotel doesnt want to advertise super cheap deals under their brand name.

I got 4 star hotels for 2 star prices so great deal for me.

Only problem is you dont know the location but just the general area. If you can handle that then go for it.

When you see someone without a smile give them one of yours!

I'd still rather pay 1200 AND know where I was going to be staying.

I pay between 1000 - 1500 a night anyway in south Pattaya and am more than happy with the kind of hotel I stay at (I'm very fussy when it comes to hotel and expect very good value for money)

It's the Best Western Premier Signature. It's a good deal and saves over 500 Baht on their cheapest published rate.

There's nothing 'dodgy' about Wotif's/Latestays' Mystery hotel deals - they're good value. If you feel uneasy about booking a longer stay, just book one night to confirm which hotel it is and then book the remainder of your stay if you think it's a good deal.

I wonder how it would work when you find out that the hotel you have already paid for charges a joiner fee?

As the have a "no refunds" policy, technically they have got you by the balls.

The same as any other deal that contains a 'no refunds' condition. As with any other hotel in LOS, the best thing is simply to e-mail them and ask the question in advance.

From Wotifs site

"So how do you find out which hotel it is? As soon as you book, you'll receive your normal Wotif.com confirmation with all the hotel details included"

So only book 1 night then you get the details if you like it book more.

Plus you can sometimes id the mystery hotel from the details given

compared to the normal hotels listed on their site and their details

although they have made it a little harder now with less info.

Wotif is a very good site and the mystery hotel is a good thing

if you do your homework.

You would not know if the hotel was guest friendly. Could work out expensive if you have to pay extra every time you bring home a bed warmer.
