I am trying to delete an x rated file in my C drive. The problem is that when I press the delete option, it says that the file is open in VLC, even though I have uninstalled VLC. Nothing seems to work. Do any of the tech experts on this forum, and I know there are many, have a solution? Thanks.

Do a full shutdown and reboot the machine. That will ensure no lingering processes have the file locked, so you should be able to delete it then.
