Please help me find a place with a pool

Hey guys

I'm looking for a hotel recommendation. I've been staying at Pasadena on LK the last couple of trips, but this time I'm thinking I want a place with a pool.

Pasadena is great, nice new rooms, good location etc. I like staying in or near LK /Diana, but I'd consider the Soi 7 / 8 areas, or something closer to WS as well. I can get a nice room at Pasadena for 1000b per night, and would stretch that another 200 - 300 per night.

Sooo, nice room, decent pool, don't care about hotel bar or food (I'm never up in time for breakfast), location(s) as above for up to 1300b/ night (low season, July - August)? Obviously guest friendly (duh).Think1.gif

Thanks for your suggestions

Flipper House on Soi 7 1000 bht per night B&B, roof top pool, clean & friendly, no charges for bringing a girl back

Have stayed there on a few occasions, the only pisser is they don't have a safe in the room ! They have a safety box which you keep one key they have the other and you go as and when to get your money ( valuables ) from.

Great location check out their website on Google FlipperHouse.com

Sabai Lodge Soi 2, bit further out but Baht bus right outside entrance. Great pool and good prices. E-mail manager (Ked) for a better price.

Areca Lodge on Soi Diana Inn (very near LK Metro) has standard rooms for 1300 Baht (although Deluxe rooms at 1400 Baht are better). It has two nice pools. The breakfast buffet is good if you can make it before 10:00am and you can take one Thai girlfriend with you at no extra charge.

I have to second the Areca Lodge. Comfortable room, great A/C, great pools, quiet and hassle free. I do like the rooms for $B1400 better, though.

Hey, 001_Thank_You5.gif for all your suggestions

I'll now undoubtedly agonise over the choice for several days (the anticipation is often sweeter than realisation) before making my mind up.

Cheers

Hey Gee,

We have stayed at Chaba Hut Resort on Soi Bukehow 4 times over the last 5 years. Its a 4 minute walk to Soi LK and 10 Min to Soi 7.

Its set back in park like surrounds and is Girl friendly. they have a variety of room types that will suit your budget. We get the Pink Bungalows at around 900 to 1000 Bhat.

They have a good pool complex with a Bar.

Da the concerierge/ Bell boy cant do enough for you, his great.

Heres a link www.chabahutresortpattaya.com

Shows photos of the pool etc. they will let your friends come swim for free to.

3 sums no problem.

Its in a very handy location with beer bar complex straight across the road.

24 hour security at gate and also walking around the site.

Cant rate this highly enough. Its like a 4 star hotel in NZ with a camping ground atmosphere.

hope this helps.

P.S. we will be checking in in about 36 hours so can let you now if its still all good in a couple of weeks when we get back to Napier.

Later.

When you see someone without a smile give them one of yours!
