Any problems?

The media is saying to stay away from Thailand unless it is essential to travel there! Well I'm going to pattaya for the first time and it would break my heart if the anti govenment protests were to ruin it. I am landing in Bangkok suvarnabumi airport (27th May) and getting a taxi immediately to pattaya. Will this plan still go ahead without any problems?

1st: If you land during the day I suggest taking the Bus (only 200 baht)

2nd: The airport is not in danger this time as the military has taken ahold of it.

3rd: I have been through 3 protests in the past 3 years, they are not heard from Walking Street.

Just stay away from Silom and you'll be fine.

What could be more "essential" than visiting bargirls?

you'll be fine mate, enjoy your trip, and try to enjoy your last few weeks back home, because once you come back, you'll hate it there...

Trust me, it's paradise. This is where the hungry come to feed.

For mine is a generation that circles the globe and searches for something we haven't tried before.

So never refuse an invitation, never resist the unfamiliar, never fail to be polite and never outstay the welcome.

Just keep your mind open and suck in the experience. And if it hurts, you know what? It's probably worth it.
