I just took Mr T taxi from airport to Jomtien..Had to e-mail 4 times and once at the Airport had to call the office..Lady said on the Phone he will be waiting with a sign in my name...No sign and no waiting at arrival gate...I DID find him on the bottom floor after his boss called him with no sign...Once we got started--Changed Taxis then he suddenly wanted more Money for taking me to Jomtien...I gave him my quoted price of 1000 baht.

Maybe Mr T get too busy now? I usually jag a taxi / car at the airport rather than book one (unless I want a "special" with some girls) and use Mr T Pattaya - Airport. In March he was late so I got a meter taxi at last minute. won't use him again.

I just found this taxi service for 1200.taxiservicepattaya.com There has also been some negative comments about Mr T and Mr Toom here. http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/Taxi-Service-Suvarnabhumi-Jomtie-t234247.html. I used both and found them reliable, but that may have changed now. One thing I don't want is to have to find my own transportation after arriving from an 18 hour flight, especially since I arrive at 1:30 AM. Mr. Toom's e mail is [email protected]. you could always call TUK on 0806 341492. she does some work for mr T but also does private work.

 

her prices are 1000 baht airport and i think 1200 to BKK.

 

I always use her and find her very reliable even at very short notice. Last time i gave her an hour and although she did not drive herself she had a driver waiting for me outside my apartment.

 

Always gives me great service.

Would defo' reccomend Mr Toom - used him in Feb . Emailed him couple

of weeks before arrival and he confirmed prices and booking within few hours .

 

Was waiting at gate 3 with name on a board , just as said

 

Was also perfectly on time for return from hotel to Bkk

 

1200 bht . Bkk to Patt's

 

1000 bht . Patt's to bkk

 

Inc all tolls . Nice guy and car

I would like to add he sent me a comfirmation email with a map of the airport layout. Which is good for me being my first trip to Bkk/Patts. Now lets see if he shows up, hehe.

 

PS. When do I pay him? Before or after he drops me off at my hotel? Is a tip standard? Do I pay him in baht? Thanks again.

Pay him when you arrive in Pattaya, and pay him in baht. You should withdraw some baht at the airport after meeting up with him there.
