Foreign Service Institute Online Language Lessons Free

Saw this on another board (South American focused) and wanted to share it here. The Foreign Service Institute developed language classes for US diplomats. Since there were developed with public dollars, they are available to the public, free.

There are lessons in both Thai and Khmer. You can download PDF's and accompanying mp3 audio files. Not bad for a little studying before your trip.

I think this was covered here just a week or two ago, but maybe that was on another forum. The same lessons are available in a more user-friendly format with Thai script at http://www.thailanguagewiki.com. The volunteers there are even working on updating the 40-year-old FSI lessons. The lessons are designed for a teacher to use with a class, but they're pretty good for individual grammar, reading, and vocabulary practice, too.
