Bangkok Air is a subsidiary of Thai Air, so it is usually the most expensive.

Nok Air is a good suggestion. I also flew AirAsia to Phuket from BKK.

Forgot to mention if you are going from HK to BKK, you may wish to check DragonAir. They are a budget regional airline out of HK. There is also Eva Air - though it may not have the route you want.

you are correct - Bangkok Airways in privately owned (used to be called Sahakol Air). They own samui, sukhothai and trat airports as well. This is why flights to samui are expensive for the distance you flight as they have basically the monoply (they own the airport).

Farang = Walking ATM. TG's push the right buttons and money comes out. PIN = BBBJ
