Does your iTunes mangle your Thai mp3 names? I found a solution!

If you have Thai iTunes, this isn't a problem for you, but here in the USA my iTunes mangles Thai names horribly. This happens for both Thai songs downloaded or sometimes ripped from albums.

I used to think this was because of unicode encoding problems but it turns out that it's an ASCII encoding problem.

If you're not a techie then it really doesn't matter what kind of problem it is :GoldenSmile1:

This morning, I found a script that works on macs.

It's so simple.

1) Select the song or songs with mangled names in your iTunes music menu.

2) Run the script.

It's fixed bam!

I need to either get this to work on my PC or use and external HD so my mac can fix the mp3 files, but it's really nice to see Thai characters like

คริสติน่า อากีล่าร์

instead of

¤ÃÔʵԹèÒ ÍÒ¡ÕÅèÒÃì

If you don't trust scripts (it's easy to look at it and see what it does before running it on your mac), then you can fix your songs one by one online using this handy page:
