As well as youtube videos, you can now add soundcloud music urls into the media tags and you will get the music file ready for others to enjoy. To get the media tags, press this button above (when you are posting, you will see that symbol)

Google Maps

 

You can now use BB Code to add a picture of a location, just add

[map]insert text address[/map]

 

and it will do it automatically.

 

Here I typed in "10 downing street london"

Decided to see if it will map Canterbury Tales

Didn't work. between the map commands I put:

383/111, Soi Chaiyapoon,

Moo 9, Nongprue, Banglamung,

Pattaya City,

Chonburi, 20260, Thailand

 

Copied straight off their web site.

Must be something in there the map function didn't like.

 

How do you suggest we do Thai addresses? If possible I will put maps when I make my (coming in July) trip report, but I need to know what the address should look like.

For those who want to post a map correctly.

Go to google maps (website) first and add the adress there.

 

When you have found the place, copy the adress that google maps give you (not the adress you got from a website, flyer,...).

Copy paste that adress between the bb code.

 

When surching for previous posts map, i saw that in that soi (street) google map doesn't know the street numbers. So you can only show 1 point in the street.

As you can see: you only can point the south end of this street, not the north end where the guesthouse is located.
