Duan Nam Ing Hotel

Going to Pattaya 23 Dec – 09 Jan 11. The Duan Nam Ing hotel was mentioned as a place to stay.

 

Does anybody have information on the hotel, standards & staff, prices, distance from Walking Street etc. Can’t find information or pictures of hotel.

 

Or advise me of alternative good cheap accommodation during this period.

I will be staying at the Duan Nam Ing hotel , from the 20th Dec to 16th Jan

will be my 4th time there .

 

very friendly hotel

great staff always there to help

and there is a lovely pool at the back

as for the price ... 1000bht ISH per night

 

The hotel is on soi Backecw near soi diana and LK Metro ( lots and I mean lots of bars )

walking st is about 5/10 min by bus

I have stayed there a couple of times and the staff is very nice. They now have wifi, but I did not try it so I cannot give a report.

 

I suggest taking a room on the backside away from Soi Bukuao as it is a little quieter.

 

 

The rooms do not have in-room safes as there is a safety box behind the counter. I am not sure what time the safety box closes. At night and until the early morning there is a guard at the entrance and he will hold the id of the girls.

Thanks for the info. Your reviews make this a contender for places to stay. Pac128 if I do end up there I will arrive on 23rd, you’ll know me by my scotch accent and called Jimmy.

I have stayed there many times. Minus and pluses,

 

(+)

1) staff second to none, if you stay here, tip the night security guy the first night, and he will take care of you and make sure the girls do not stiff you.

2) internet is good, each floor has two routers

3) super clean rooms, tip the cleaning girls the first night, and you will always have clean sheets.

4) very nice pool (choose an inside room)

5) Bath bus to both Beach Road (one direction) and Big C (the other)

6) Exchange, drugstore, 7-11, family mart next to it or across street

7) walking distance to Avenue, Soi Diana and Soi Metro action

8) Computer downstairs for internet

1) No safe

2) rooms are pretty basic

3) bathroom is very, very basic

4) walls are pink?

5) No non smoking rooms

6) Need to take baht bus to WS, motor bike taxi will be 80 at night

7) No elevator

The no elevator is a deal breaker for me. Glad to know this since I had passed by there a number of times and considered staying there.
