Hi,

I am in Pattaya for just over 3 weeks from 20th May. I see Pattaya Utd have a home game on the 23d May.

Just got a couple of questions.

OK just to turn up and pay on the gate?

Best area of the ground to be in and how to find the enterance to that area?

Cost of admission?

How far/cost on motorbike/car taxi from say Soi8?

Was gonna take my DSLR camera with me...any problems with that?

That's about that really apart from wonderng what the atmosphere is like on match days?

Cheers,

Hi mate

I've been to watch Pattaya Utd twice now, the last one being on March 28th. This was their first home match of the season against Rayong and they won 3 - 1.

They play at Nongprue stadium on the Darkside. Cost is 60 Baht to get in and you get a free programme. Pay on entry.

We always stand on the stand facing the main stand, where there is the big scoreboard and loads of Pattaya supporters. Also, they bang the drums there as well. It's a great atmosphere.

It's best to visit Cherry Bar on Soi 8 and talk to Adam (Hammer). He organises a mini bus for about 7 people. We go to a bar first, then watch the match, and visit a bar on the way back.

No problem with taking photos, or even video if you want.

They standard of football is probably similar to our Blue Square Premier League.

This was me at half time at a match last October:-

Hope that helps.

Cheers
