Lek hotel?

MunterHunter

Recommended Posts

I have stayed in a few places in Pattaya.

I fancy the LEX hotel next time. Seems like its pretty central, has a pool and does breakfast.

Is it girl friendly? any idea of cost and whats the rooms like?

If you mean Lek hotel. mimg-1155038634.jpg

I have stayed there on a few occasians. Never had a problem. Good

location. Totaly girl friendly(bell staff take ID's and phone your room

to make sure there is no problems before she can leave) Room service

is prompt and reasonably priced. the pool is OK with food and drink service.

The staff has always been helful and attentive. Even going above and

beyond to help this traveler through a bad sicknessthet got me for a few days.

Small internet room. I think WI-FI is avalable. 750 to 850, old wing

1200 new wing. Money exchange just outside front door. 7-11 a few

steps away. and a great foot massage next door. (I belive the woman

could husk coconuts with her bare hands) Rooms are big in the old wing.

You have a full bathroom with a big tub.I don't like the shower only.

the floor is always wet. Safe in room with 1000 deposit. returned on checkout.

I'll stay there again. Hope this helps!

I have stayed at the Lek on my previous two trips.

Approx 1000-1200 per night in standard room in the 'NEW' wing.

Had a room with pool view, quiet enough. Like most hotel rooms, unremarkable.

Its clean and cleaned daily. I tend to give the room maid a good tip at the start of my stay, thus ensuring an extra clean room for the duration.

Breakfast and dinner buffets VFM in my opinion. NOT INCLUDED WITH ROOM.

Not sure about availability of WIFI in rooms. DVD player can be hired from reception.

Digital safe in room, remember not to forget your pin when your pissed, or worse, change your pin when pissed.

24 hour security and check in,out, girl friendly, even a phone call to your room when the girl leaves to ensure all is OK.

I will probably stay there again in August on my next trip.

You may wish to read the thread DIANA INN by BangkokC. The Lek is mentioned there as well, and some comparisons may appear.

I would not like to call that one. As far as my memory goes there would not be alot in it.

10 minutes walk maximum to each I suggest.

Breakfast Buffe cost now 150B Breakfast is fair but their Dinner is GREAT! 180 Baht. every night a very good salad bar with good dressings, usually 3 to 4 kinds of meat, fruit, 2 kinds of potatoes, ribs, chicken, flan and cake, and more....soda's are only 25 baht. There is a separate section in the back to the right [ I didn't know it was there until I went there several times]. I usually can't make it to the bars after this buffett!

Stayed there a few times before as it was so central to everywhere,

rooms are adequate with all the usual amenities,

could possibly be doing with a little brush up but all in all

a very reasonable place, good security etc and could'nt complain about the food

although they have put prices up and did'nt see any difference in the standard of food,

I stayed at Lek hotel in January .

I have a standard room in the old wing and it was not a good choice . My room was over the main road ( 2nd Road ) and it was absolutelly noisy till 4 AM ( very loud music from bars around ) . The room was dated ( old furniture , old TV set , etc . ), but clean . The bathroom was OK . Noisy AC . The pool is small . Price - 850 THB .

The good thing at Lek is breakfast buffet and dinner buffet . Location is very good . Between WS and Soi 7/8 , close to LK Metro and Beach Road .

So if you want to stay there book a room in the new wing . It should be nicer and more quiet ( I hope ) .

Did anybody stay in the new wing ? Rooms have real safety deposit boxes or those tins on the wall ?

I have stayed at the Lek many times but the Dynasty inn in Soi 13 right opposite back entrance of Lek is a better hotel cleaner more modern room at 1280 but if you stay more than 3 days 1120bht. The older rooms at 850 in Lek are not as good as some 600 bhat rooms i have stayed in.

For me, the Lek hotel would only be a transitional place while I am looking for somewhere else to stay. I personally have never stayed at the hotel but have eaten the buffet many times. I know people who have stayed there and it is what it is. For me, it just depends on your taste and how long your trip is. I personally would never stay at the Lek. I agree with the recommendation of paying a little more, if your budget would allow, and stay at the Dynasty Inn hotel. A much better deal I think than the Lek. Honestly though, apart from eating at the hotel I have never resided there but wanted to chime in. Good luck, Amante

I ve been in the Lek hotel too for about 2 weeks they charged me 850 B a day ! The breakfast offer there for 150 has a very good value! It has a nice pool and I never had a problem to bring a lady to my room. They check the ladys ID cards when enter the hotel and keep them there until she leaves the house.

The rooms are for my expectations to battered and old thats why I will look for an other place next time maybe for a studio for 6 weeks.

Cheers for the info guys.

The LEK has been recommended to me by a few long term LOS guys, but on my last visit i stayed in the Dynasty next to the LEK.

After reading this thread i think i stayed in the better place.

So i think i'll give the LEK a miss and if i can't find anywhere else then it's back to the Dynasty for me on my next visit.

I stayed at LEK hotel on my last visit to pattaya.

I nothing to brag about in the old wing for sure.

outdated and needs som attenton to encrease the general standart i think, the beds where ichy and staff was rude also.

The buffet is great thoug, have eaten there alot.

My recomendation is to stay @ sandy spring and eat @ the buffet on lek.
