was thinking of staying at the mercure hotel, emailed hotel to find out if it was girl friendly got this reply.. still cant understand if the 500bt for a thrid person?

What they are saying is if you are staying in the room by yourself but book your room for 2 people they have no "joiner" fee to bring a lady back to your room.

If they insist on a name I just usually put " _ " or a "." where the 2nd persons name is meant to be.

You could also make up a fictitious name.

 

There will be a 500 baht joiner fee if you bring more than 1 lady back to your room... eg. if you have a big night & bring 2-3 ladies back, they will charge you accordingly.

This is standard policy with many hotels in Pattaya, though I wish it could be explained more clearly in the e mail. Written English is a big problem in Pattaya. I can understand your confusion.
